Ahh... you may have become an atheist, but you won't leave my God alone? If you're going to reject the Lord, then let it be and go follow your new found non-faith.

If you understood the context of Exodus 4:11 you would not have posted it. God was encouraging Moses who had speech issues. But his faith was still with God and God was still there to help Moses. We cannot assume that because God said he makes the dumb, deaf and blind that he did so for evil reasons. If we do, then we are we not judging Him unjustly without knowing His reasoning? What if he means he allows free will of our human cells to take a wrong turn which is what has happened since we left the Garden of Eden? Not that God himself caused those ailments (man did). But at the same time God says he has not rejected those and as He is with Moses, so he will be with the dumb, deaf, and blind. IF they choose to accept Him. Yes, even those who are dumb can AND have openly received Jesus as their Saviour. Every human being has that choice and opportunity.

Too bad you chose to reject Him. Good luck with that.

As for your link to the Skeptic's Annotated Bible, you should fit right in with that. Like you, it also takes God's word totally out of context and makes it sound like he is a big bad God. Oh wait... so they admit God exists AND rejects Him? WOW. That sounds just like a spoiled child's thinking of the big bad parent. "Your no fair, I hate you!!" Wished I had a nickle for every time I've heard that! But now that they understand, they love me. Imagine that. Maybe someday you'll grow up, too!

"An atheist is simply someone who does not believe in a god or gods."

"A freethinker is someone with a philosophical viewpoint that holds that opinions should be formed on the basis of logic, reason and science and not authority, tradition, or other dogmas."

I am both an atheist and freethinker.

Look on youtube and watch others express themselves.

Not a problem Mills. I have plenty of non-Christian friends including witches. We all get along just fine. As I said on your other thread, I don't knock them and they don't knock me. As long as you don't push anti-Christian propaganda, you won't hear a peep from me. So don't go praying to Jesus, or cut and paste anti-bible/Christian related stuff and we'll get along just fine.

True Christians know the ONLY thing required of them: accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God the Father and their Saviour. It is not necessary to "have to know" the bible. That is secondary as no works will get anyone into heaven. It is wise if one speaks of the Bible that they realize it is open to interpretation but not speculation. It is those who do not understand this simple convention or precept who do not understand Christianity.

So, you became an atheist because you presume or wrongly rationalize that others don't know their Christianity that you know nothing about. Interesting. How do you know they don't know if you don't know it yourself? Whoa... I'm getting a little dizzy on that merry-go-round.

Oh, should I also point out the above statement: "My jouney to become a proud Atheist and the fact that most Christians know very little about their religion and "Holy" book." isn't even YOUR statement but someone else's? Someone we can't speak to. How convenient, cheap and weak of you. Are you that incapable of speaking for yourself, or are you just learning how to be a atheist. Which sounds like an oxymoron of sorts since there is nothing to learn. God does not exist. Period. End of discussion. Or are you learning how to shoot down other peoples rights to believe in a religion??? You know, the way Hitler and other haters have done in the past. That is just wrong and uncivil.

This person, like you does not understand God. He, like you, has misconceptions of what he was taught. Rather than question who taught him, rather than dig deep to answer his doubts, he throws his hands in the air and gives up. Therefore, it is much easier to just give up than to have to go through life not being able to question God himself to find out what the real truth is. He is confused by the massive information overload naysayers and atheists and other anti-God people toss into the mix. It is just too much to process or make sense of. Welcome to the information overload stage of technology/life.

The more I get into the Youtube the more it becomes clear his issues are with concepts that were developed over time that are not necessarily correct such as predestination. This idea, a lot like the concept of rapture, is not clear at all in the bible. There hints at them, but bottom line there is no definitive proof that these concepts are correct. That is why not all Christians accept them. But because these concepts are out there, and because not all Christian groups agree, it must ALL be wrong. And THAT is the wrong conclusion to arrive to. If we treated other areas of our existence such as doctors and even scientists this way, we would go back in time. We would refuse new treatments simply because some others believe it is the wrong path to cure cancer.

Just because some people give up because the don't understand does not mean what they don't understand does not exist. So, join the crowd of "people who don't believe in things because others don't". Now that is real scientific. NOT!

Cut and paste as in giving reference to where it came from. Don't you know anything? Have you even written research papers? I give credit to where information came from. Every writer does this.

I've written much more in the last ten years than you have your entire life. I Also have two degrees, but I only mention it to let you know what you are up against educational wise. Oh... and writing was included.

It is proper to first indicate what you are pasting (writing), giving credit to those quoted and THEN sighting your sources at the end. But this is not college so I don't expect you to do it correctly and you did not write a paper. Cutting and pasting is NOT giving reference, it is simply cutting and pasting an object whether words or pictures or a link. You posted a link, then you pasted a quote from that link, never establishing who said it. You have no idea what writing is. I have read enough from your posts to know you don't, so quit with the smoke and mirrors. You are not fooling anyone.

I wrote a children's story fourteen years ago. A number of things has happened to where it is still unpublished. My, at the time, Clinical Psychologist read what I had. She liked it. It was something she never seen before in how I would get the reader involved in the story.
That story has gotten bigger. I would like a series of Children's Books to come from my work. Animation would really tickle me.
I am on my newest book. It will not be a Children's Book. I am trying to write the last chapter first.

Besides being a bit off topic, a Clinical Psychologist is not an editor or publisher. So her opinion does not hold much weight. Let me give you a hint, instead of spending time on Topix, spend it writing your books.

As a writer, I will give you some advice,(I am not a monster), Children's books are the easiest to get published. Go research what other writers are doing to get published. There are many resources to find publishers at your library. Be sure to learn HOW to submit your work or it won't even be looked at. Approaching publishers is like any job that requires a resume, it must be done correctly such as cover letter, synopsis, and self addressed/self stamped return envelopes for your reject letter (yes, writers get a lot of those). Also, publishers vary so it is a must to research them to find out what they want and how they want it.

There, see? I helped you. I am not trying to be an AH. I know what I am doing.

Thank you for the help. You aren't an AW. That is nasty talk. Thanks for not being that way. I will get back on an early morning writing schedule while the house is silent. I let a few things go and I feel very pleased and contented. Everything is headed in the right direction. When you lighten up on me, it really helps. Thanks again. I had no intentions of causing you or other to feel suppressed in what I posted. We part in peace. If we never meet or know each other or of each other, look for my books. I will help support preventing child abuse. My name will be different. Fayetteville will be the name of town in all my books because it is a place I longed to move to. I will include it in my work as a symbol that means something special to me and my family.
I need a break from you, to tell you the truth.

Now, now... I recall you calling someone an ass on your Randy thread. Were you talking nasty then? I didn't even use the word like you did. I hope you are not one for double standards.

I don't know what you mean by lightening up on you. You were in control of yourself and I fairly warned you that I would not allow you to trounce my God and Christianity. If you need a break from me, I would suggest you stay away from topix or learn to accept criticism and counter dialog. Don't expect me to candy coat my posts to suit you.
