Not sure which cemetery you are looking for...so far you are in the area of maybe four. One on the Nashville Hwy.(Myer,?<??? Cem.) Farmington Road, Bowden Cem. Holly Grove Road, 1 1/2 miles from the Nashville hwy, on the right side, near old log home site.( Unknow name), Sharp Cemetery behind Holly Grove School House. There is a Cemetery Book that lists most know graves with names, however, some smaller family cemeteries, unknown at the time are not listed. And no the Historical Society does not have anything on-line. There are copies at the Hardison School Building and Library. Sometime you can find it at a site called Find-a-grave.

Martha and Karl Sadler are my Great Aunt and Uncle.

I live across the road from them, well, their house. They were very good neighbors. My children went on their first Halloween and their house was the first one they went to. Our son was dressed like a Prince and our daughter was dressed like a Dalmatian Puppy. Mr. Sadler got out his camera and took their picture. Mrs. Sadler gave them lots of candy. It was the only house that had its lights on. Many years no one came by. Those that drove on by ,"for more lighted up houses", sure missed out by not stopping by the Sadlers. We know, Martha has died. Karl and her had moved to an apartment. I know she loved her place. The owner has is looking nice with the hedges but my husband says, he needs to get those trees off the house. It is like she is still here. Thank you for the information. We will try to go to the Hardison School Building and Library, soon. God Bless you.

Yep, that is the school. There is also an old cemetery at the end of the lane that runs beside it. If I ever get a day off I'll see if I can locate that pic online again.
My great grandmother, Adeline Thompson Williams, taught sunday school in the old school building many years ago.

That's nice. If more people can post, just think of the information that can be enjoyed. This is History. I am glad to learn for you all. Is that building for sale? I thought I saw a sign, years ago.

I am not sure of the year...probably around 1910...some boys from another neighborhood disrupted a christmas paegent at the old school and my great uncle, carl williams, had his throat slashed during that altercation in front of the school. He lived through it but those were violent times. My family lived three generations in the old two story white house next to Snake Creek on the Holly Grove Road. My great grandmother would walk up the dry creek bed through the woods, passed the Sharp Cemetery, and down the lane to the old school. Women were not allowed to preach in those days but Mama Williams would hold 'Sunday School' and 'Training Union' in the old school house. She cooresponded regulary with Billy Sunday.

John, the creek is near the county line, right? I don't know the name the creek by the bridge but I do remember a house like you described.
Your Great-Grandmother , Adeline Thompson Williams, was a righteous woman. The mean spirit will show up and we all need to be ready to witness to another. Your Great Uncle Carl Williams, life was spared by God. It wasn't his time to go. I like family histories and family movies based on true stories. Your Great-Grandmother , Adeline Thompson Williams, life's story would greatly please many people in a Christian movie. If you are interested check out this.

Is this where the Bennett Family Farm is now? If so, Mr. and Mrs.John Ollie Williams were owners until maybe late 80's.

I have a few old pictures of the 1st and 2nd grade student from Holly Grove School (70+ years ago) I Will look to see if a William name show up.

I don't think the school house and lot have been for sale. But the land behind it, known in the old days as the Shirley Place is for sale.
