Joey was a guy that made everybody laugh. He was the life of the party but whenever anyone needed something he was there to help. Sometimes being that kind of person can get you in trouble or in with the wrong group. But Joey should not be judged by any of this, he should be judged for his overall greatest accomplishments.Being a loving father to Justin & Cheyenne. Anyone who could make such beautiful, loving, and wonderful children deserve our respect. And he has mine. All my love and prayers go out to Justin, Cheyenne, Tima, Marcy, mr&mrs.Cozart and their immediate family.

Whatever this Joey Crane was - he was a child of God. The same God that he is resting with now. No one ever knows what others endure while growing up or how they are treated. These things help to mold the person. If the comment of his own Mother turning him into the police is true then this would explain a lot about is life. I only hope that his children will grow up to remember the good Father he was and the love he had for them and none of the bad that others like to remember. I also hope that some will open their hearts to give a donation to the funeral expenses, I will. May God hold his family in his hands and comfort their hearts during their grief.

Ok, I am Joey's sister. It took me a few days to find this forum and even longer not to be upset with people pointing the finger. My mother promised she did NOT turn him in. As I sit here today, one week after my brother died, all I can say is this:(same thing I just said to my mother)
Blamming one another is not nor will it bring Joey back. He couldn't take living this life anymore. he chose to give up and see what is on the other side. It should be said as much as I hate saying it. I hate what my family is going through. It sucks. BIG TIME!!! I would not wish this one ANYONE!!! Now to answer a few of the questions on here...Josy would have turned 34 Feb 7th. As far as the kids, they are with their mothers. Cheyanne is with Marcie and Justin is with hie grandparents or with Tina.
Me as well as the rest of the family just ask for your prayers and continued support in this crazy time in our lives. As far as pointing the finger at my mother. Please stop. She saw her son die for crying out loud. Dont you think she as been through enough? Give us the time we need to mourn our loss. Thank you.

Nichole, I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Joey back in school and loved him, he was fun to be around. I do feel that your mother has been through enough, that is something no mother should have to see. I will pray for you and your family.

All I know about him was I went to school with him, then I didnt hear his name again til my ex room mate was caught up in that robbery with him, the room mate , the aunt, and the other is in jail serving their time, and Joey was on the run from it. I feel bad for the family who lost a loved one , but why would someone want to take the easy way out, the best way to stay out of trouble and jail is to live right, make A HONEST LIVING not robbing people for what they work hard for.. My room mate is having to serve his time, and so is the others, they are facing their consequences. Joey very well could of been a great person if he would of chose to live right! I think its pretty sad he killed his self in front of his mom, and evaded life by taken his own. He didnt have to go back to jail, he could of lived right. With that being said, no one is taken pity on the other 3 who did it, all I hear is bad mouthing of them but them 3 were not the only ones who did this horrible crime. I will say Im sorry for the family and his precious kids who he stole a dad from !!!
