Train Hit By Gunfire

LEWISBURG, Tenn .- In Marshall County, a CSX train was struck by gunfire in Lewisburg just before 5:00 Sunday evening.

Was it because of all that blowing night and day some of those trains do?
Did someone just got feed up or was some hunter mad because the train horn scared the rabbit away? How dangerous will the city with noise ordnance stop all that train blowing late at night, so people can sleep, rest in peace?

Train has the blow at every crossing regardless of the time and trains being shot at is a very common thing. If dont like the noise you shouldn't have settled near the tracks. Unless ur a 100 yrs old i bet the tracks where there first !

There was an incident that happened in Cornersville a few years back and the conductor was shot in the leg. It was thought to be by some teenagers but was never solved.

How many times do they have to blow, for have they been blowing 9 or 10 times or just sitting there blowing to another train up the tracks, that also blows back? At all hours even 2 and 3 oclock in the morning? When people are trying to sleep? Have u heard any say that they blow for fun, for an retired railroad guy?

If Lewisburg officials would could they request the trains not blow over 2 to 3 time late at night or early morning couldn't they when there is lights and a gate that works?

You obviously are oblivious to posters abilities to hide their locations by using anonymous proxy servers. That is why some say "United States" or some far away place like California. Only the owners of Topix will know your exact IP address which never changes no matter what servers they use. They would have to go through some real hacking maneuvers to completely cover their tracks.
