what is going on? did all the good workers quit??

The owner is not very friendly. I have not been in there in years and go by it every day. He is nice to folks stopping in, but not when they are not there. cant imagine working for him.

I don't shop there anymore because I beleve he is everything this county is all about. I can't support local good ole boy attitudes.
Yes indeed, he will be nice to you while he is taking your money. I learned about him early. I wish him well as I do other county businesses but he, like other local members need to be more open minded.

I've shopped there since I was a kid, which was awhile ago. You shouldn't judge if you truly don't know someone. Did you consider that people have bad days where they don't speak or want to be bothered. I've had many many talks with him inside the store and out. I see no difference in the way he treated me. The workers are very friendly and the breakfast biscuits are worth the trip. If you don't want to do business there, don't, he has enough business to keep the doors open without you.

Most likely coming from someone from around here all their life dealing with someone who does not know how to relate to outsiders.
You do not have the common awareness to see the difference and you will never see the difference. I rest my case and enjoy your biscuits.

If you aren't treated kindly by others, maybe it is you and your negative attitude. Stop blaming it on being an outsider. Common sense should tell you that there is something wrong with you if people are constantly being rude to you.

Did anyone to include the original poster mention rude? Just you. Let me ponder that for a sec. HHHmmm, maybe you are the rude one. I follow what he or she is saying. You must be one of the ones who cant figure it out.

Talk to any outsider and ask them what they mean. They will tell you loud and clear. If you dont comprehend it, that is on you, because so far, I see you just aint gettin' it.

Yea, you may be the rude one. I made my opinion of the guy and you label me as negative. You are wrong, no one is ever rude to me. I would not allow it nor would I think they would try to be rude to me. Besides you don't have a clue what I know.

I know what I know and rather not spend my money there. Simple as that. I really don't like his attitude towards outsiders. BTW, I think I have more common sense than you give me credit for so let's leave it at that.

Im glad to see Jack has brought back some of the old crew.The store just hasnt been the same since they all left.You know there is true hospitality and then there is fake hospitality.Jack would do well to watch some of the crew he has.
As for Jack,he is a good man.The same anywhere you see him.Thanks Jack for bringing some of the old crew back.Was wondering when you were finally going to do it.....

As long as that sorry B.C. doesn't have anything to do with the market I will continue to do business there. If he is the owner or shows up there on a regular basis, I will take my business elsewhere. Can't stand that man.

Jack is the owner. No BC involved. And I'm an outsider and he's always been very nice to me in and out of the store. So I'm one of those 'outsiders' who will speak well of the man. All I can say for you, if this is the best you ever lived in, you must of lived in some pretty dumpy places for a good reason which waters down your opinion. He is nice to you which is fine. You buy your smokes and beer from him, of course he will be nice to you at and away from the store. You don't know how some locals speak of outsiders behind your back, now do you? That is what most see. I am in with both groups and can tell you some stories about the local side. Ya'all anit doin' the man good, continuing the thread. Let it die. Those who had to say things did and if left alone it will disappear in topixs history.

If Jack is so bad,why in the world would you shop there for 22 yrs?That seems kinda strange to me.As for the old crew girl,Ive never seen her show anything but respect and kindness to her customers.She truly is an asset to the store.I worked with her at the store at one time and all the customers loved her dearly.She is one of those people who wont eat you up to your face and talk about you behind your back,like some of the others in the store do.Its sad Jack doesn't have more employees like her.....

As I have worked for Jack,he is one of the best employers I have had.He never showed disrespect for any of us.He always tried to help us anyway he could.You have to remember he is a boss and sometimes if employees dont do their job they have to face the consequences.I dont think he is still in business because of the new crew....

I was just curious to where the GOOD workers went? Seems they all just up and quit...and the old crew girl doesn't seem to want to do much but slack off! Seems that way to me everytime im in there. maybe i should just go in at a different time...or wait no matter what time i go thats all she does!!!!!
