The ones who live in Cornersville better do some checking!
When this city administrator came in the city was in the red!
And if I'm not mistaking this is one of the fist times Cornersville has EVER BEEN IN THE GREEN!
Nobody likes any body that does there job and does it well.
What a bout the new side walks, what about the streets being paved, what a bout the park for for the people of Cornersville can have fund raisers for there kids, what about property taxes not being raised the whole time this board and town administrator has been with the city, over 5 years!
SOMEBODY BETTER TAKE A LOOK AT THE REAL PICTURE AND LOOK AT THE ONES WHO IS COMPLAINING!
Is it somebody who did not get there way!
People do funny things when they don't get there way.
They don't care who they hurt and how many family's life's they hurt, they only see what they want to see.
So to the ones that is trying so hard to destroy the City of Cornersville, we have been here before.
All I can say is becareful the lies you tell, for the lies you tell will become a reality in your own life.
TAKE A LOOK AT WHERE CORNERSVILLE WAS OVER 5 YEARS AGO AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHERE THEY ARE NOW.
AND IT WILL SPEAK FOR ITS SELF.
UNLESS YOU LIKE THE ONES WHO STEEL YOUR MONEY?

Dont you get it. Nobody wants the money extorted from others. You are missing the fact that we citizens are willing to have it done the right way. Just being in the green doesn't mean anything. Al Capone was always in the green. That's an absurd point. Look at the real issue that the money is being extorted from visitors to our area. Ridiculous!

That's an even MORE absurd quote. I would venture to say that 90% of the people getting tickets for BREAKING THE LAW are not our "visitors". And if you purposely speed, don't cry when you get a ticket. If someone you knew and loved were to be in an accident from a speeding vehicle, or a person driving under the influence, I'm sure your view would be different. As it stands, these people are only doing their job, and good people get picked on just as much as bad people. And I have one questions, what is "the right way"? Laying off the currently employed police(who are only upholding the law and doing their jobs and ensuring others are upholding the law) and mayor, etc of Cornersville, thus adding to our unemployment rate, raising the property taxes of us as residents of Cornersville, some who are already struggling in this economy?

City in the red, why was that because of "crooked city management", new side walks, streets paved, park, are property taxes the same? Well that maybe well and good but if others are robbed, hi-jacked by increasing the police force working radar on I-65 to collect more revenue is that not robbing peter to pay Paul?
Did Connersville sell their losing money, old water lines, water department and sewer department to the city of Lewisburg?
Where did that money go?
Did Connersville expand their city limits collect more taxes?
Where did that money go?
Did Connersville Increase the size of their police department and are they seen by others as using radar traps miles from town itself on I-65, for to collect more revenue off unsuspecting out of state people and their families traveling the interstate? Where did that money go?
So was that the money used to do the things you have said were done to improve Connersville?
Does Connersville City Management not allow any complaints on their agenda?
Has some citizens of Connersville been told threatened with jail, that they cannot even speak at those City Alderman Meetings?
Has the town really improved where are the local stores, service stations, friendly people, of years ago, that welcomed travelers, welcome tourist, small town with only one police man and open government that welcomed complaints, look on complaints as constructive criticism to build a better town and community?

Has Cornersville police ever broke the law if so and what was done?
http://www.marshalltribune.com/story/1827818....
Who wants the town's police running radar on I-65 that traps vistors or the traveling public on a hill and just after a blind curve as to increase the revenue for the police department, judges of Cornersville do you?
Does any of that money go to improvments of the town of Cornersville, other than more police, and judge's salvary?
Who wants to live in a police state or town with too many police that seemly have so many does the small towns resorts to using them to do the State Troopers jobs those small town police are not even trained to do?
What to do with the extra police Cornersville got let them work for the county as SRO the County wants to hire and direct traffic in the school zones!
Speaking of property taxes if the city of Cornersville had less public employees then should not Cornersville be able to lower property taxes?
Just how many of Cornersville employees even live in Cornersville or pay property taxes there?

oops....I think you may have goofed, because according to the article you are referencing, the police who broke the law were dismissed? That means that they are NOT above the law either. You didn't make any point in referencing that incident, it just show that you are picking on our town. And YES, I am a resident of Cornersville,(not CONNERSVILLE)

No but would u not expect the property owners, and their children to get first choice of the jobs in those towns?
The people who live in those towns, pay taxes in those towns expect jobs in those towns?
Even if those towns hire then would people not expect those who they hire to live, experence the problems, be there close to work 24-7 if called or an emergency came up?
Do towns hire people who don't drink their towns own water or experence the same problems, so to say so that those don't really care, just as long as it don't effect them or their families?
Just like do some in Cornersville don't care how many from out of state families traveling on vacation are given speeding tickets just as long as the police are out on the interstate and not in the town of Cornersville itself writing speeding tickets?
Why would any city manager care what the city taxes are just as long as he did not live there, or did not have to pay those taxes?
Why would any city police or judge want more tickets wrote and more revenue as long as they get more money from it, hire more police and do less work?

Why

Wonder if it was explained do Cornersville Police set at the bottom of that I-65 hill in the upper end of a on coming rest area trafic, shooting radar, facing on coming 70 mile hour south bound on coming trafic and pull out into on coming 70 milies per hour trafic crossing 2 lines of trafic to give chase of speeders coming down a I-65 hill just below a blind curve?
For is it not a danger to the police themselves and unsuppecting traveling public, that is the city of Cornersville creating a danger to others who are not even speeding? If they pull into on coming south bound 70 mile per hour trafic from a dead stop?
Will some day there be a major wreck because of how that speed trap or radar is set up?
Why is that polic car not facing south to go with the flow of trafic, rather than north pulling out into 70 milies per hour south bound trafic?
.

This what u lookin for wrote:
Check page 13 of the document and see how much they made in Fines fees... almost $300,000 and certainly more than from taxes.
About 80,000 of that came from sanitation fees. The fines were approx 215,000. Total in taxes (property, sales, beer, public utility) were 258,000.

Obviously they couldn't run the city without their fines! This is probably why the people of Cornersville don't get real upset about the police sitting on the interstate. If they didn't have fines, their property taxes would have to double!

I disagree. Without patrol of the interstate you don't need so many cops. Without patrol of the interstate you don't have so much court action. Without all that you don't need so much money. Without patrolling the interstate you don't need an administrator to sit down there doing homework while the clerk does all the work. Without patrolling the interstate, the taxes don't go up at all and service to the citizens gets better. Get the dead fat out and you don't need tax hikes.

You got to have that many cops to provide 24/7 police coverage for the town of Cornersville. I am not sure how many they have but I would think you would need 5 or 6 to cover the time that needs covered. If all you can find wrong with Cornersville is a few tickets givin out on the interstate dude you dont have a life. How about having a protest at the city park this weekend and see how many of your friends show up. 0 You will probably be alone LOL!

there is only one with your position. you are now identified. who ever decided there needed to be constant police coverage. only you. its absurd to have a blown up police force in a podunk area. especially if you cant afford it and have to extort money to do it. your empire is crumbling under the weight of your ego. when you get the pressure of a subpoena you will be all alone honey.
