Since Halloween is on Wednesday (church) night. Are they trick or treating this weekend? Thanks!

I would assume Halloween night. I was a kid when Trick or Treat was not on a Halloween night due to traffic of a big LSU football game.

Wed. night is when we plan to go..if they were to "change it" like I am sure only Lewisburg would, they would have announced it already.

Mine are going Wednesday night. Our church, as well as others in our area, are having regular services and then a "trunk or treat" afterwards for all the kids to get candy. All of the people we would be visiting go to our church anyway with the exception of 1 or 2.

My mother really helped make Halloween Carnivals great at school. Buttered hands in making Popcorn balls, collected items from local businesses in Baton Rouge for grab bags, and enjoying the season. I wore a basic black witch outfit one year. I don't like dark clothing.
Let's hope the kids will be seeking treats and not get into rolling trees or throwing raw eggs. Store clerks beaware of sales of those two items to kids. They are too old to go door-to-door and still young enough to play.
A man killed a boy on Halloween night in Baton Rouge, years ago. He and another boy were out Trick or Tweating dressed as military. The man thought he was going to be harmed. The boy happened to be a student from Japan.

Some good places to take your kids on Halloween:
Woods ave N is a good place. Be careful the street is wall to wall kids. another good place is Moonlight Trail, again be careful driving, there are kids and cars from one end to the other. This is a dead end street. While you are out that way, try Skyline and White Drive. Happy Halloween

They are having the Halloween in the park Sat night. It is always great time. They close off the back street and kids run everywhere.

So, do we know what night Lewisburg will be doing trick or treat? I thought it was on Wednesday, but now I'm not sure.

Trick-or-Treating is on Wednesday night....I never recall it being moved to another night..but once long ago when it was on a Sunday.
Cornersville is having the Halloween in the Park on Saturday night...lots of fun, costume contest, pumpkin carving, hayrides....the way it should be, full of friends, family, and fun....I wish that Lewisburg could have something similiar to what Cornersville has managed to pull of as successful......

No offense but let Cornersville get the glory for something. It seems lewisburg always out does everybody and Cornersville is left standing in the dust cause they can't afford to do things on the same scale as Lewisburg.

So go to Cornersville and celebrate what they do. I'm from Cornersville if you couldn't tell. Go Dawgs!

You must have misunderstood...I am from Cornersville also....First Kindergarten class at Cornersville was my class....Lewisburg could never pull off an event like the Halloween in the Park....only a smaller town can make that work without problems....I go every year, visit my relatives who live in town, see people I went to school with and have a good time....My uncle passed away this summer, so my Aunt will be handing out candy alone, have to stop by Mulberry and see her.....
Too bad it turned so cold for this weekend though...

I guess I did misunderstand (sorry)cause you said you had wished Lewisburg could do something similiar. And I'm glad they don't. They already have Octoberfest and Goatfest.

If you see Joe DiMaggio and Marylin Monroe, come say hi to me and my wife!

Not to offend or antagonize anyone, but Halloween is on Wednesday, it isn't a part of the "Monday holiday bill" so that is the day it should be held on, having additional activities held by associations or orginaztions on other dates is one thing, but Oct 31st is the day for trick or treating door to door. If a parent decides they wish to do something else on that day while that is their perogative it doesn't give them free reign to take their kiddies out for free candy on another date. You need to explain to your kids why you aren't taking them trick or treating and to church instead.
I raised 4 children and we never took our kids out on another night if we couldn't make the 31st, even after a Halloween of torrential down pours where nobody went out, they dressed up and had an imprompteau party at home, no one went trick or treating the next or any other day.
Oh, and Lewisberg Native...thanks, now I know where all these kids come from on Halloween in my neighborhood, lol, I thought they were busing them in we get so many I've never seen before

If you are talking about Cornersville, they do bus them in. People come from all around to trick or treat in Cornersville. They come from Giles, Muary and other places because they know it is a safe place to go. Still alot like things where 30yrs ago the way only small towns can be. Before they started closeing the street off you would see them by the truck and trailer loads. Alot from Lewisburg because no one knows anyone any more or don't take part in it.
