When I lived in Lewisburg I was paying $40.04/month for water. Now living in another community, my last water bill was $10.05, trash svc. goes on electric(Kwh rates are cheaper here also.

I got a phone call on the 12th of this month. The lady was talking about hamburgers and putting more on tonight. I say, hello thinking this was my adult child. It was a lady in Florida asking people in Lewisburg, Tn if they had a septic tank. I said, no. Anyhow, she was a nice lady.

Do you think that survey was for the talk of a rate increase?
Water & Wastewater.

Is the EPA requiring Lewisburg Water Department to build bigger newer holding tanks and replace all old broken sewer lines in Cornersville?

Is Lewisburg Water Department after building those bigger holding tanks in Lewisburg now going to have to replace all old out of date sewer lines in Lewisburg?

About 2 years ago the water dept. with the help of the EPA and DTEC forced the city council to approve a 19% increase in water rates and a 38% increase in sewer rates or they were going to fine the city a lot of money until they approved the increase. They did. Now 2 years later they are wanting more money, I SAY NO. What about the buying of Cornersville's dept., lets sell it back to them and use that money to offset the rate increase they want. any councilman that votes for this increase should be run out of town. Bet Minor and others have a heart attack over this. Can't wait for the fireworks.

How many times are you going to run that stupid phone call into ground??? It doesn't even make sense. It doesn't have anything to do with this topic. Are you bored or just crazy?

If you have children or want a social life for yourself do not move to Lewisburg, xenophobia is the way of locals I lived there for 10 years. I moved because of diversity, the population here is all American without animosity toward anyone.
The schools here are first class, public, private education comes first, please check for yourself.
Shopping, dining wonderful with a lower cost of living. Great place to live!

You bone head!! I fill my pool all the time. But I am not stupid. I also use a good cover to stop evaporation. I also collect rain water. And I also us the water from my AC so nothing goes to waste. Cry? Why should I cry? My water bill is low. That is because I can afford it. If you can't afford something as low as a water bill you have big problems. My gas and electrical bill is much higher!! No, I of course do not want to see an increase in my water bill. But if they do, I will increase my conservation of water as I do my gas and electric. I know how to squeeze blood out of a turnip. Do you? Maybe you should look into it. Hell, it won't be long and they will drive me off the grid all together and I welcome that!! [email protected] them!! We don't need them, they need us!!! The sooner you idiots recognize that the sooner you will have them begging you to take their services. I've never seen such a bunch of dumba$$es in my life.

Will Lewisburg / Marshall County soon become the Next small town to maybe take bankrupsty from spend spend, increasing taxpayer's deep debts, high property taxes, high utility bills and bad managments?

Is there no property taxes on personal residence in Ala when people get 65?
Is Rogersville Ala the homes of many retired Marshall County public officials?

Isn't Trigg Cathey the new councilman on the Water Board. Heard they were going to ask for a $10.00 a month increase on a minimum bill per month. Call him and ask

Isn't that a little conflict of interest. Everyone needs to reach out to councilmen and the water department. Have you ever seen an increase go away. Look at the wheel tax from yrs ago. We still have it and if I am not mistaken it is one of the highest in the state. Lets stop compalaining and do something. Everyone talks a big games seems never to follow through.

I went over our annual budget and it just will make it unless we have an emergency. A big increase will hurt. He must think $10.00 is low enough on customers. I strongly disagree.(ask Trigg Lewisburg, TN)

I will check into Alabama. Thank you.(We Are Moving Too

Water & Wastewater goes with the city. Septic tanks not used MEANS WE USE THE CITY FOR THAT.(u holdin ur breath 2 long Lewisburg, TN)

I thank all of your posting even though this wasn't started by me. On a very very tight budget, we don't need higher bills. Most people understand.

I like Alabama near the state of Mississippi.

Guess you need to get rid of your internet. This is a luxury not a necessity. You can cut back on your food too. I bet you could stand to lose a few pounds as most people in America are over weight.

Is upper managment fixing to get another pay raise, before they retire?

Did after asking the city council for a water, sewer rate increase about two years ago, did the water board the very next meeting vote to give upper managment a pay raise and or even increase the retirment of those all ready retired?

Is there talk of buying, Marshall County, Chapel Hill or Petersburg's Water Department?

Maybe even all of those?
Like Cornersville's water Department was bought?
