She places no restrictions on "personal relationships and matters of the heart".
Neither do most people. Why is it important to restrict anyone ?

PREVIOUS QUOTE:
"She places no restrictions on "personal relationships and matters of the heart".

YOUR QUOTE:
"Neither do most people. Why is it important to restrict anyone ?"

Your response is incorrect here, perhaps spoken before really thinking about it. I believe "everyone" has "restrictions" in personal relationships and matters of the heart, their own as well as others.

This would apply to homosexual unions as well. If one party withdrew from a second party and extracted his/herself from a relationship to pursue a heterosexual association, a perceptible violation of "restriction," implied or expressed would then exist!

Most people, whether homosexual or heterosexual have definate restrictions governing mutual conduct and respective expectations of conduct, implicitly or explicitly. At a minimum, those in relationships have "inferred" restrictions which are based upon expectations of conduct. The "expectations" may also be inferred by parties who loosely define the governance of their relationship, or who never thought it worthwhile to visit the issue to begin with. Nevertheless, everyone has restrictions regarding their relationships and all matters of the heart.

It struck me that you key on the phrase, "why is it important to restrict anyone?" In the instance of personal relationships, I can't imagine the resulting disaster from failing to establish "expectations" of conduct, implicitly or explicitly. "restrictions" are merely the "book-ends" of expectation of conduct.

Getting back to your question: "Why is it important to restrict anyone?". This is the same question being asked by the majority of citizens in our country..those who "ARE NOT" LGBT lifestyle practitioners. Competing social and cultural doctrines are found to be fundamentally irreconcilable. Most opponents of same-sex "marriage" do not necessarilly wish to "restrict" anyone or anything so much as they wish to RETAIN "marriage" resting in it's critical societal role at its historical definition. This is my wish as well. I have always believed accomodations are there to be made in matters endemic to alternative relationships without destroying the one man, one woman institution of marriage.

Ya know NTMD8OR, even though my skin is beginning to crawl, I must respond to your post.
I do agree with everything Linda said in her post, especially the last part. But for the life of me, how did you ever pull up "NAMBLA"?
I just can't believe that you would just pull this organization out of thin air. This organization is trying to change the laws on the age of consent for children. They are a Pedophile organization.
Linda did not even come close to mentioning/agreeing with them.
But somehow you had no problem coming up with "NAMBLA" because of her statement.
Again unblievable!

I do enjoy foreign culture, but love America the best. I just wish you did!
When I travel, I look beyond the other tourists in airports, hotels and places of note to witness the realities of every conceivable human impoverishment. It doesn't matter which country you're in to quickly realize America's greatest distinction emblematic in opportunity for "anyone," even the poorest, weakest and least gifted.
America has never been destroyed by a dictator as many others have been. Our current national circumstance is bleak when grasping for reasons to forecast a continuation of personal wealth in America..washing machines, affordable power in homes, hot running water, food, fuel, medicines, shelter, the ability to feed family members..and stuff like that!
President Obama will continue to hold America's head underwater until dead! When Venture capital, commerce, and industry have been sufficiently undermined, America will implode into its own debt with breathtaking speed and governmental cruelty. Each week the marxist dream of capitalisism de-stabilization and eventual destruction becomes more real as catastrophic financial failure is not only possible, but predictable. As you're starving with the rest of your countrymen, I'm sure the hierarchy of evil now holding our country in a death grip will come to personally congratulate you!.:-)
Willard, I only responded to your first sentence.
Now I'll respond to your second sentence.
Where do you come off saying that I don't love America?
I love America so much that I put my life on the line for America many years ago and I don't believe you were anywhere in sight.
I still love America and will always for the rest of my life.
How dare you say I don't love America!

People on FaceBook post NAMBLA links from stories i fact a few years ago the group were to have a National Conference in the Great Smoky Mtn area and it was actually on the news , the GOV cannot or will not control such groups NAMBLA but they want to have a say so in civil rights issues such a gay marriage, the GOV needs an overhall regulate things that actually matter instead of keeping the US from being competitive with other countries , its a civil acts movement more than a GOV issue.

NAMBLA wants to take away the laws of child pornography which research shows leads pedofiles to act on such fantasy , so yea being a Smoky Mtn. atea resident you would want to be aware when the members were in town especially with such tourism and attractions for family oriented attractions
