I was told that two mountain lions were seen in fox ln area! Are you kidding? The guy was an honest man and has been around animals his whole life. I googled the possabilty and there are mountain lions in tenn. I just hope not in a residential area!! That could be very bad! If you hear anything.....please post!

In the late 90's I lived near Milltown and one morning as I was driving to town, a cougar stepped out in the road in front of me and then two spotted babies jumped out behind her. I called the conservation officer and he said he gets about a dozen calls a year of sightings. So, yes, there are mountain lions in Marshall County but fortunately, they're very secretive and hopefully as frightened of people as we are of them.]

There was one in my rock forest nearly 20 years ago. My grandpa was a fur trapper. I thought of him and his hides drying on a barn wall. Red fox are around as often as deer, these days, in broad daylight.

They sure would be in heaven if they are in that area! The deer in that area are very plentiful! I mean hundreds of them! They also are known to attack!

Wouldn't surprise me if there were. With a more than ample food source of deer in town and green zones it would provide a perfect habitat for a big cat. Especially on the outskirts of town around Fox Ln.

If there are any mountain lions at all here in Tennessee, then they were brought here because they do not naturaly live here.

I know this sounds crazy but yes!...regardless of how they got here they are in lewisburg and surrounding areas!! The game warden from Bedford county had a call the other day about a deer found dead....he replied" i have seen hundreds of deer dead"! the caller reported.."not like this!' The deer was 15ft up in the tree!! only a BIG cat does that! and not bobcats!! there is a big differance in a bobcat and cougar(mountain lion)!! I know that area good and saw 3 huge coyotes there back earlier this year! Its got to be all the deer over there! there some horses in that area too! keep an eye out if you live over there!

My daughter and I were going to walmart last night and we had turned off of west commerce on to the bypass that goes by the high school. Something ran in front of us it was huge and fast! It was not a deer. It looked like a huge cat!! She and I both looked at each other wondering what it was. It was too dark for me to get a good look at it.

Years ago, while riding on Darnell-Mealer Rd a bobcat ran in front of my car to the other side of the road. The windows were down in my vehicle with my two children. What a scary moment that was! The motorcycle riders needs to watch out for bobcats.

there was a photo taken in Stewart County with one of the wildlife cameras that showed a very large cat like animal. The photo was on Channel 4. On 12/19/11

People can say what they want, but I believe there are a few here. They are for the most part like Bobcats and very secretive and elusive,so they are rarely seen. There have been recent sightings in the Smokey Mtns as well and pictures to prove this.

It is amazing that we use the phrases "they are coming into our neighborhoods". Where did we build our neighborhoods? I have heard people making comments about the hawks eating their chickens. Well if you set up a buffet in the middle of the city the hungry will show up. I know it hurts to loose pets to coyotes and such but the animals are doing what they do naturally.

Very interesting. Last weekend, my Dad was in his usual perch at the table having coffee, when he is sure he saw a huge cat that he first thought was a dog. It came close enough in view for him to see its whiskers and it had a long tail. He asked us not to tell anyone because he didnt want people to think he was crazy. This was near Delina.

That is exactly how my Dad described the color. He said when it was walking towards his line of sight it looked brown, but when it turned and stopped it was "blonde" and long tail.
