chad webster was arrested last night at a local bar, he was drunk and trying to drive when someone from waxo radio called the local pd. mcclean came to the bar tried to give webster a ride home he refused and claimed he was a cop and dont fuk with him. he is a city officer who has been working with the local drug task force on drug and alcohol related crimes.

is he going to loose his job or are they going to cover up the news

was told he bailed out by local bonding company, was he charged for the bond and who paid. webster claims he did not know who called him a bondsman so ..........why did his co workers take him to jail

good job to the officer who took him and did not look the other way good job head

He is actually a Drug Task Force agent not a city cop.

And I am sure he was at sports Zone watching the fight last night.. Why aren't the owners being held responsible for over serving alcohol. they should be able to tell when someone has had enough and cut them off.

The chief of police can not fire anyone, he can suspend but not fire. Only the city manager can do the hiring and the firing. So if he has been fired it was the city manager not the chief of police. I don't know that the drug task force officer is under the control of the city, I believe that would come from the district attorney, but don't know that for a fact.

You are wrong and need to read the city charter, only the city manager e.f. can hire or fire someone regardless of what has happened including an officer breaking a law. Department heads can suspend until the manager does the firing but they can not hire or fire anyone. The chief had to get the ok from the city manager if it was done this morning. Sorry but that is the way the city charter states the power of the department heads authority, try reading it sometimes, you would really get an education and yes I have read it several times. Also, chief is spelled chief not "chif".

Just curious but does anyone even know what he was charged with?

From what I have read on here the most they could charge him with is Public Intoxication. Which is a Class C misdemeanor.

Don't really think that is worthy of being fired.

that was his charge and yes he should be fire, you mean its ok to get drunk in local bar they try to give him a ride home, he had to be held up i seen it he could not walk. he then cursed the cops who did try and help him stating im a cop i dont go to jail

well he was wrong

he was paid to up hold the law here so you think he can break it and not pay, weather it was public intoxication or spiting on a side walk, if its the law then its the law

Police officers take an oath to uphold the law at all times and as such are held to a higher standard than a normal citizen. You can't have an officer arresting someone for a offense that they themselves have broken. Very bad public relations and not good for morale.

Was he just playing the part of being a good undercover police officer and really wanted to play that part well, was his drinks spiked?

Do you think the city manager will let him be fired for do we all know the City Manager fires, hires and runs this Town is that part of the reasons Lewisburg is like it is?

How can you be undercover in a town where you are well known and your job is public knowledge?

Whoever does the hiring and firing....he should be fired.

Screwed again, poor Woody. If it had been him they would have put him under the jail, but now let's extend a common curtesy to this guy because he is drug task force. McClean and Forbis need to go not to mention the drunk.

I agree with you that he should be fired. I believe when the chief meets with fuller on monday and all the facts are place on the table this officer has to be fired or allowed to resign. You can't have an officer that has taken an oath to uphold the law at all times, breaking the laws that he is suppossed to uphold. Bet he thought he was ABOVE THE LAW.
