WTF is wrong with drivers around here? The blinker is a warning signal to let people know what you are GOING to do, not in the middle of doing. Why the hell do so many drivers wait until the last moment to use it (or not at all)? You should turn it on no less than 100 feet before turning in a city and further in the country or on a highway. The person behind might be momentarily looking away, checking traffic around them before seeing your blinker. Give them warning time! I can't count the number of times I have almost turn into someone that decided they were turning into my street without a blinker and suddenly turn it on midway as if that makes it all good. Dumb Sh!ts.

Then there are the dunderheads in parking lots driving the wrong direction in the aisle forcing others to squeeze by. All the cars are facing the other way... hint, hint!!

The speed limit sign. Why do you suppose they even post those?? The law works both ways, a slow driver is just as dangerous as a fast one. Driving 5 to 10 miles below the limit forces others to travel too close together and causes other drivers to pass which is always a risk! For crying out loud, DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT!!!

Education, parent training and leading by bad example along with not bng sighted for traffic offenses are some of the reasons for bad driving.

They also are slow to react which is common here and most think they are nascar drivers by the way they draft, ie tail gate. Some of the sheriffs office personal are seen right in the middle of a draft coming back from cornersville on a daily basis.

As for the turn signal I believe the turn signal were options on a car that the locals did not take when buying the car. As for the ones who did pay for the turning signal, they don't realize what they are not doing until someone like you give them the eye if not more.

As for not driving the speed limit, around town i normally dive 5 under which is OK with me. My vehicles save on wear and tear and should not have any reason for you to be "forced" to tailgate.

You should never drive below the speed limit unless there are multiple lanes giving others the option to go around you. If you are driving slower in a single lane, you are part of the problem. Driving 5 miles under the limit will NOT save any wear and tear on a vehicle. At least not at any appreciable level (I'm an engineer). In fact, at certain speeds, you are forcing the engine/transmission to work harder and use more gas than if you slipped into the next higher gear and ran at lower RPMs. The speed posted is a law not a suggestion. Many who are driving NEED to be somewhere on time. It is not fair for you to expect others to kowtow to your lawbreaking and ill imagined idea of saving wear and tear.

Dip head...don't tell me how fast to drive. The speed limit is the fastest you can drive without getting ticketed. 5 under is my choice and you can't change my mind. Do you live on topics?
You are not an engineer you are a nerdy lonesome do as I say type of guy who can't cope with life and has no real friends. Get a life and if you worked for me...your type of thinking would be a real good reason to let you go the first day.

The speeders are more of a problem than the sunday drivers. People need to slow the heck down, speed limit signs are the max speed not the mandatory speed. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time leave fifteen minutes earlier than it would normally take you to get there so you don't have to drive like a madperson.

Nobody's stopping you from leaving earlier. Your punctuality or lack thereof isn't anyone's problem but your own.

If driving 5mph slower is gona make you late then you should have left earlier. The posted speed IS THE suggested speed but IS NOT mandatory. As long as the person isnt driving so slow they are causing a hazard then is not illegal so get over it . I bet ur one of those jackasses that rides peoples bumpers when they are driving 10mph OVER the posted speed....while texting and driving. Asshole !

I guess my degree and former job (I retired with a great pension and now I work for myself), are phony too! LMAO! I wouldn't work for a slum lord like you (and you couldn't afford me). With your kind of anal thinking, and sticking it to whomever you can without a care, I am sure whatever you do, it is also treated the same way. You most likely treat your wife (if you aren't divorced) like sh!t. Were you born with your head stuck up your a$$ or have your worked your whole life getting it up there?

But you go ahead and keep thinking you're smarter and spend that extra cash on gas and engine dirt build-up.

Not everyone who is on the road leaves with planning. Many are workers called to a job, and others on their way to help someone who called in need, and still others where time is of the essence such as rushing to the ER.

Tennessee code, states “no person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic.” In addition, the law also state that you MUST pull over to the side if you have at least five cars behind you. I have seen this situation many, many times because of drivers choosing to drive slower.

The Tennessee driver handbook states, "When driving, adjust your speed to flow along with the speed at which other traffic is moving - provided the other traffic is traveling within the posted speed limit. Slow drivers are as likely to become involved in accidents as speeders."

Also, "Do not drive so slowly that you block, hinder, or interfere with other vehicles moving at normal speeds." The posted speed limit is the "normal" speed.

Also, Slow-Moving Vehicles
It is against the law to drive slower than the posted minimum
speed under normal driving conditions. You may drive more
slowly than the minimum speed if you are driving in bad
weather, heavy traffic or on a bad road. If there is no posted
minimum speed, it is still against the law to drive so slowly
that you block traffic.

Personally, for the anal guys like above, if I don't have anyone behind me and there is very little chance in the way of passing the idiot, I will slow down and let them get ahead.

I would have to be in a real big hurry to to 50 in a 55 as 45 is my usual, don't like it then pass me. Nearly 200,000 miles on original drivetrain, still get 26 mpg, no tickets, no accidents, and never late for work. You may very well be an engineer as i have found that most engineers have no real world experience with what they engineer, it's the mechanics/repairmen that have to fix their engineering.

That's the posted MINIMUM speed. The speed LIMIT is the speed you're allowed to drive without a getting ticketed. Driving five miles under the speed limit != less than the minimum speed.

Southern drivers are the worst for sure they slow way down if they see even one snow flake! And them handicappers must have there speedmeters turned down 10 mph cause almost every slow driver I see has a handicap plate. And if someone is turning ahead of them they turn there blinker on too! I started to pass a guy with his turn blinker on and he wasnt even turning!!!! You people are batshit crazy down here!

It's also sad that he feels the need to exploit the rating system to upvote himself to look right, didn't last long though. I'll keep on trucking 5 to 10 mph below the speed limit getting great gas mileage and long life from my car. Maybe he'll get stuck behind me some day in his rush to McDonalds and blow a gasket.

And you also seem rattled by the frustrated guy that you accuse him of changing the rating system. From the looks of it either he did it backwards or you went back and also padded it. What a couple of crybabies you two are. Glad I don't have to drive in your area.

Oh... this is precious! Treat? Who's looking for treats? And a big boy! Big and fat? And your complaints about the guy from Columbia. LOL! Like I'm the only one, eh? And you never offer up good ideas, just complain about others on topix who show you up. Like they said, you can't fix stupid and you are one broken piece of work.

And you seem to have an obsession with gay comments. You know what they say about those who do that. They're still hiding in the closet.
