as it is unlawful to post the name of the party til they are found guilty in a court of law,you can easily google the arrest report for the local paper and see for yourself. That way you will see it first hand and that will rule out any thoughts of mere gossiping.I wasn't there to see the act in progress i can only say people are talking about what happend at Kroger on that fateful Thursday. The paper also reports the court hearing is on th Feb 4th. People are talking and talk tells the court case will actually be held on another day. This i assume is a tatick used to keep things hushed and to help sweep it under the rug. Now tear me up for spelling or whatever you may,i was educated in the MC school system where instead of teaching some educators are too busy with extra cirricula activities to do their jobs properly. Stand up J.A. and do the right thing.

Oh, so the paper is always breakin the law when the say who is alleged to have committed a crime? I don't think so. I already googled it and did not see it (not everything Lewisburg Tribune writes is put on the web). Did the paper give the name? I couldn't care less about gossiping as this is not gossiping if you are repeating what the paper said. That's called relaying what you read, not what someone said. Big difference.

yes it does disclose the name. Also when searching properly you well find it. Google her name for goodness sakes. Or stop by one of the local stores and pick a paper up and read it there.

Hey, try the Krogers in Shelbyville, very nice store, helpful people and I mean they have United Grocery Outlet there too, plus a Foodland, Savalot, Food Lion, and DG Market, great selections and lots of stores to choose from. Also, why you are there, enjoy some of their restaurants, Ruby Tuesday, Chili's, Legends, they have Four Mexican Rest., Chinese, its a better city to shop in, make a day of it! Try that in Lewisburg! I love shopping in the small town of Shelbyville, seem to be in sync with their market of customers.

If I knew her name I wouldn't be asking, brain. If you know it, and the paper has printed it, just post it. Geeeezzzzze for all the gossip and bullcrap posted on here WITH NAMES, this a time when it actually is okay to reprint and you're a clam.*face palm*

Well... considering she is a teacher at Westhills... Is this someone the parents and board would approve of having teach? Obviously forgiveness is divine, however a person in this position needs to be somewhat above reproach. And then being banned... like anyone else with a problem, if they prove they are getting help for their problem they need to be removed until such time it is shown they are "cured". We all need to take responsibility for our own actions and take the hits that comes with them.

Well this was out of the link posted. It is public knowledge if the name is in the local paper already. Don't understand what all this hoopala is about who this person is.

* Chantel M. Lentz, 42, Green Valley Drive. Court date: Feb. 4. Kroger. Lentz was banned from all Kroger stores for one year, according to the report by Lewisburg Police Officer Kevin Clark.

here is some factual information for you all interested since you are all about official reports... the case was ruled Nolle Prosequi. It is a Latin term meaning"we shall no longer prosecute". It is a declaration made by the prosecuter meaning the case has been dropped. It can be made because the charges cannot be proved, the evidence has demonstrated innocence, or the prosecuter no longer thinks the accused is guilty.I know you would love to keep berating her ( and some still will) but the truth is she was just distracted on the phone, thought she has paid for other items at pharmacy and walked out still on the phone.I have worked around the court system for years and it is amazing how the paper can print these police reports, but never bother to print the final outcome. what happened to innocent TILL proven guilty! Yes, she made a mistake but it wasn't on purpose. Everyone thinks its big news because she is a teacher, well my child had her a few years ago and I will request for my yougest to have her also. She is one of the most caring and compassionate teachers at that school. She treats the kids and parents with respect and will do anything to help them. I know teachers should be role models, but is is "LAUGHABLE" that after the things some of the teachers have done at that school, that this is the one you decide to blast.Be careful in your glass house when you're throwing those stones at others.

If all you say is true I find it hard to understand why Kroger would go the extent they did. I mean, if it were me and I did the same thing, I certainly believe I could have convinced them that it was a legitimate mistake, paid for the food and moved on. There is more here than what meets the eye. For instance, we don't know what was in the cart or how she transported the items. If I were her and they did drop the charges, you best believe I would be suing Kroger for defamation of character and using both the paper and this forum as proof.

So the charges were dismissed? So what i got a speeding ticket not too long ago, I was speeding. When i went to court it was dismissed. Didn't mean i didn't do speed the judge had already decided it would be dismissed before i even appeared before him/her. Let's just hope while this teacher has your students in her care that her phone doesn't ring! She could get distracted and one of your Children could be hurt. If she thought her things was paid for then why wasn't her thing in a Kroger bag. She did it she's guilty and all the fancy words in the courthouse will not convince me otherwise! The example that has ben set is very poor. Brush it under the rug all you like the fact is she did it. Can she still shop in kroger? Also if that is your choice to pick to teach lead and care for your children you clearly have moral and mental issues. As far as you saying she was singled out on here and other teachers do worse.......we have read bout some bad actions on here. So no one is pucking on her. You're a good friend to her and i completely understand your loyalty to your friend. But if this was someone you didn't know, from another county or didn't like, then you too would say she is guilty.

And good point....just like your speeding ticket, this was a citation(not an arrest)she did not murder, molest, assault, get arrested for DUI, or drugs. She has been to court and paid more in humiliation than most and i would bet she could care less about going to Kroger again. As far as my moral and mental issues, my only contact with her was as a parent and ,like I said before, one of the best teachers my child has ever had. I leave the moral judging to the man upstairs maybe you might think to do the same!

As i said i just hope while children are in her care the phone doesn't ring!! Defend her all you want and throw The Lord into the mix. Fact is Her items would havebeen placed into a Kroger bag when the cashier rang it up. Now you can believe this lie if you want. Now she's not only a thief a bad liar. So in her midget like fingers you want me to believe she's holding a phone, her prescriptions, car keys, wallet/purse, and her stolen merchandise? If she's that coordinated with her midget like fractures then she should know if her things were paid for or not!! And how rude to the cashier!!! She was on the phone while checking out? That's a total disrespect to the cashier!! Also i will add for someone who just randomly knows her you are certainly well informed on the facts and fiction of it all. And btw since you've chosen to bring our Holy Father into this keep you Church Street COC preachings to yourself. You've been gossiping or you wouldn't have known about it anyways. And to come to Topix to plea this case was a big mistake! Wrong forum cause the jury is back. GUILTY!!

Your thought process that other teachers have done worse couldn't be more askew. A thief is a thief and so far as judging goes, the man upstairs sees no difference between one sin or another. Many people can be great people/educators/statesmen etc., but when they have a problem committing crimes, it doesn't matter how good the good side is. If she has a history of making mistakes like this, she has no business teaching children no matter how good she does that job. It means she has a mental problem, whether is being a kleptomaniac or something else. What else doesn't click right in her mind? What if her condition gets worse (as in many cases those with mental issues do get worse without oversight). Do you really want to take those chances with little children?

That is the problem with our society, everyone wants to go soft on people. I'm not saying she should never be able to teach again, but I do think she should be made to get counseling and shown to have a clean chart before being allowed to return to the classroom. This should be so for all public employees.
