Read a book and spend time with the family, ride bike or come up with a hobby. People have no imaginations anymore, electronic games and hanging out is the norm. We could use a RC track or dirt track for 4 ATV or bikes (both motorized and peddle)

How about board games! Have everyone bring snacks and a favorite board game !!! Don't have to spend a lot of money.

We use to have a blast 20 years ago, another state, camping in a tent, cooking on an open campfire and fishing early morning. I would love to do it again but the wife is not an outdoorsy type. we met a lot of nice people camping.

Sit at home, bitch about the lack of Nightlife... I'd suppose what there is to do in Lewisburg depends on if you're single or not.

At any of the charities in Lewisburg that are open past 8 o'clock? While i'm at work? Just how would that online course help me socialize? When someone asks "what is there to do" They generally don't mean "what board games are on my shelf". They know. and obviously don't wish to play them or they wouldn't be asking about anything else. Going to the park, the library or whatnot can be fun, but ya know what? they close. At like 7. Some kind of festival? Usually the same problem Maybe open til 9 if we're lucky. If im not at work, and want to do something as a single guy what are my choices? A couple of redneck bars? Hang out at huddle house? If i want live music that isnt some half-assed country cover band, where do i go? Definitely nowhere in Lewisburg. Camping? By yourself you just look like a creepy serial killer.

Invite some friends to your house. Plenty to do on the weekend, or when you are not working.
Why spend money at a bar, that is expensive.
Spend some time with your grandparents, I am sure they would love to see you. Take them to the buffet at KFC . Learn from where they came from.

The original poster asked a question and then followed it with HIS answers, probably when they are awake and about. Perhaps I work on the weekends. perhaps i work in the afternoons to late night. Perhaps my friends do chill here at the hacienda When we can find the time that our schedules allow it, and we've gotten tired of just sitting around shooting the breeze and want to go out and do something we enjoy without having to drive all the way to columbia or nashville.

I like kids and of course I was one too at one time. The problem is today, the young do stupid things to amuse themselves and others. Give them something unsupervised and even supervised in some cases, they tend to try to <<< one up >>>> everything leading to someone or something getting hurt or broken. Watch America's Stupid Videos on TV and see for yourself. Who needs that? The bad kids have more influence on others, versus the good kids. Good old entertainment is not enough for them.

This area is generally a very poor community and their choices are very limited. Homes are broken, court system are failing us and a lot parents are too immature and have a beef with authority to understand most cases the police and teachers are right and lil johnny needs to be straightened up.

Kids having kids (which we most likely lead the state if not the nation) tend to lead to kids being brought up unruly.

We all did stupid things to amuse ourselves, as teens. Today kids have raised themselves, both parents work. There is not a support system of grandparents, aunts, etc... Around when we grew up .
As for our teachers, we do not pay them enough, when we pay football players big dollars. Wrong priority. Teacher to student radio should be lower.
Parents must be involved in kids education, at school and home.
This is not a poor community, people make some not so great choices, they made those choices.
