When was this sale to the indians supposed to have taken place? To my knowledge Millie is still the present owner. And none of the motels in Lewisburg have any major income, nobody ever comes to visit here, so they don't have lots to spend locally here or anywhere else!

It is going to a race between 2 folks: A guy named jim and and another fellow named bill.
It is a power position and one who can make it good for small business and property owners or could be for their own agendas. Nobody knows. Politics has become a business verse public service.
You have to ask yourself, who did you know before the election. Don't be surprised if it is neither. Who would you trust the controls with?
Who will really listen? Who really understands the core of the problem we have in Lewisburg?
The attitude of the folks currently not in charge but in charge dictate what goes on in this town. Do they pay for the privilege to control it or is it just based on silliness that they have lived here forever and ever?

The rest is plain to see if you lived here for a while. The city is different in so many ways. It is like we are living in the past on an island with no influence other than local influence and only a few are benefiting. They also have the fine ability to get state money for low income housing. Knowing the system as they do is a liberal/democratic way of getting by.

. I have not lived here that long but this is very interesting. Do you have any other hints to help figure out who the big players are and what positions they play. I think I may have an idea.

I think you might be overly hopeful that all his supporters are felons or something, because if this race were won on support signs alone (and it is NOT) MF would be the clear winner.

Who local is going to buy, for don't even the industrial board have to give away the local tax base and bribe out of town people to buy commercial property or locate in Lewisburg?
Just think if they did sell it might give them more time to spent being mayor if elected?
Good luck in that election but had you better watch those voting machines, real close?

Assuming you are correct, and I have no reason to doubt your word, do you expect her as the wife of a Politician to hold onto a property that isn't profitable? Do you mean buy " buying local" you think that she should hang onto a failing business until a local wishes to unload it off her hands? The sale of MMW property has no bearing on the election for City Mayor.

If you just don't like her or even if you have jealousy for her then just say that instead of clouding the issue with ignorance. I have no voice in this election one way or the other but attempting to distort the facts serves no purpose.

Require all City Council meetings and public board meeting be posted to the city web site no longer than 3 days after each and every meeting!
Try to get those meetings posted live to the City Web Site as those so called public meetings take place streaming video!
Even the IDB Board meetings, Water, Electric, Gas, Rec Center all public city board meetings!

Don't forget about Dave Kennedy and Southern Carton. What does he want for his money and support?

I'm not sure if they are jealous, or really, really bored. It seems there is nothing to do in this town other than gossip.

A vote for Bill Williams is a vote for Eddie Roberts and Dave Kennedy. If you want these two rich and powerful men calling the shots for Bill then by all means you should vote for Bill Williams. If you want someone to come in with an agenda against the city because of problems he has had with the city then vote for Michael Farrar. If you want the same ole same ole then vote for Jim Bingham. The choice is yours but by all means go out an vote an express your opinion regardless of who you support.
