I wish I could get this through to my daughter that she is not required to attend. My kids eat breakfast at home, but since the morning meetings my oldest has been "hurrying" my younger ones so she can make the morning meeting (They walk to school)and have skipped breakfast all together on mornings I work to appease their older sibling. She feels being "absent" from the meeting counts against her.

Just because YOUR kids love it, doesn't mean others get nothing of educational value out of it.

I guess recogition of students, saying the pledge and having the students involed has no value. They are looking for a new principle maybe you should apply and show them how to do it. On second thought you have get off your fat butt to do that.

so we send our children to school in clean clothes so that they can march through the gym and sit on dirt that has been dragged in by everyone, yes I can see now how that will them make one big happy family. What the school should be doing instead of having a huge "hug session" every morning is teach our children, isn't that why we send them to school. My daughter doesn't eat breakfast there and after reading the previous posts I am very grateful.

As my name implies, I was "curious". Comparing the neg. comments to the positive comments in this forum, how many of the people that remarked negitively,(untrue,Long Arm,or kyslayer) have actually ever been to a "morning meeting"?
Just Curious......????

I know when my kids went there they always complained that time for lunch was awful.By the time you stand in line and get your lunch and get to a seat and start to eat you may have 10 mins to eat.I have been there myself and ate lunch with my kids I saw kids throwing away full plates of food! What a waste. Think all kids should have at least 20 mins to eat after they are seated.

My child went to Lewisburg School from Kindergarten to 4th grade and I thought it was an ok school. She now goes elsewhere (out of the county)and I see just how bad Lewisburg school really is. I thought my child was being taught on the right level, boy was I wrong. She really had a hard time adjusting to a new school because the academics are so much better where she is now. I really hope that the new superiors are much better than the past and work on academics because if they don't all of your children are in trouble. My advice to parents with children in Lewisburg get them out of there. My child didn't have spelling from 2nd-4th grade and now is having problems spelling, she now has spelling at her other school and is doing much better but is going to take time getting her on the right level again. I my opinion all the teachers need to teach old school, this new stuff well it is just not working.

To untrue well it sounds just a little bit like you went to Lewisburg school yourself! You must have not had spelling class or english class!
