Once more proving how ridiculous this whole "constable" thing really is. This job should be given to professionals like the County Sheriffs Office. Not cheap cop wannabes who are political hacks!
FYI >> Larry Brunner is a retired Sergeant from Y.C.P.D. He is a professional! A little older and slower, but still a professional. I'll bet he invests in a "cage" for his vehicle pretty quick. Thanks for all your years of service in Law Enforcement and the Police Museum, Larry!

Come on MAN ! Theres not a YAPD cop out there that dont have a chip on his shoulder and act like an ass. You get pulled over for everything out here. Window Tint to 3 miles over the speed limit. Its retarded. How many times have you been on 83 a cop flys by you at 120 plus. its ridiculas. Even if there going on a call I DONT WANT MY LIFE IN JEPORDY. But they are above the law. If he was a professional this would not have happened. I think its funny. The cops around here need to work with the community instead of against it it every way. they would solve alot more crimes and york would be a much nicer area to live in without all the HARASSMENT !

Police pull you over for tinted windows because a PA State Traffic Law stipulates that certain darknesses are illegal. York City didn't make that law, the state did. Most cops don't have chips on their shoulders (but they don't forget the disrespect they get from people they encounter professionally...people like you!) Unless you have a radar gun you really don't know how fast those passing cars were going. Based on controlled tests, citizens in a stationary viewing area were asked to estimate the speed of a police car driving on a paved track in front of them. The car drove by three times, first with no lights on, then with the emergency light activated, and finally with lights and siren. With each addition of emergency equipment on the car the citizens sensed a marked increase in it's speed. The irony was that the car remained at the same speed every time, and it was the sensory part of the human brain that caused the distortion.(I just thought you'd like to know that.)... And you do know that the correct (legally required) thing to do on the approach of ANY emergency vehicle with it's emergency lights and/or siren (police optional, again by state law) in operation is to immediately pull to the right as far as possible and either slow down dramatically or come to a complete stop (depending on the particular road and/or conditions) until the emergency vehicle passes. You did do that, right? I mean you did move your car out of "harms way". That's a good boy! You'd better shape up, you hear me?!

I'm all for the video arraignment process...might put a few out of work but a safer way to do business...or there should be a mandatory standardized requirements for vehicles transporting prisoners to and from prisons...I have a feeling there's going to be more constables having cages placed into their vehicles soon...

They get something like five channels at YCP. TV is cheaper than having them sedated or on lockdown 24/7.

Also, these people get out someday, most of them. Do you really just want them thrown into a steel and concrete box to rot for a few years and then get out in some sort of subhuman condition?

It's cutting off your nose to spite your face. Idiots.

It is not the right topic, but...
You don't need cable to get 5 channels. Just give them local (free) broadcast TV. If the TVs aren't digital ready, apply for some convertor box coupons!

These idiots went into prison under SUBHUMAN CONDITIONS, at their choosing. And the vast majority will come out into society, in the same condition, with or without cable tv. Someone needs to kick ass and take names, or EVEN CUT OFF PRISONER NOSES, if that's what it takes.

Yea How is it some people are permitted to drive with those dark windows. So dark when they sit next to you at a light you can't see any features in the car. You don't know if there is a gun in the car pointed at you. And how do they see at night out the windows. And why do they need to be so dark. We have a friend who is licensed for State Inspections and he will not pass a car if it comes to his station with so much percentage of dark tint. By law he could be fined and possibly loose his inspection certification. It is for real against the law. If these people don't want to be recognized in public or are such ground moles they should stay home with their blinds and curtains closed. It should not be an issue of privacy.
