The article says nothing about driving. They were not driving, otherwise they would have been given DUI's.
I know that was not stated, however at some point they may or may have already. There are more than just party. People drive from bar to bar college students can go from house to house.

SU really needs to clean up their act. Wonder if the "Minor Patrol" has been to Wilson College lately ?? Wonder why taxpayers yell and scream about the local school districts but are calm and collected when it comes to the drunken state universities ??
Wilson students abstain from alcohol. That's why they are an internationally respected college that only employs and admits the brightest and best. But it does make for lame tailgating parties.

Maybe someone needs to get their facts straight, only 3 of the 7 were actually SU students.

The fashion police need to go to Wilson and patrol for chubby girls wearing pajamas to class (and to the store and to the gas station...). Best and brightest indeed! How about some pride of self?

College students drinking? OMG!! Certainly there are better things for the police to do than stings of 20 yo's drinking a beer. Isnt there a rash of buglaries going on that still remain unsolved in Franklin county. Yup, I feel safer now.

And you can check the J net website------ SEVEN people in Chambersburg were charged with PUBLIC DRUNKEDNESS this weekend........ Why isn't that a story in the PO?????? A big splashy story..... NO.... only a few of the seven Chambersburg people charged with publis drunkedness even made the police blotter. PO is biased.... Reporting wrong facts..... 3 of the seven were even Ship students..... seriously , lets get professional PO !!!!

And how about the Grim Peeper of Shippensburg (the town)? He's more dangerous than beer.

Wilson girls party with the best of them. Trust me.

Wow!!! College students drink alcohol??!! Some news story... Well here's a news flash: 7 students equates to less that 1% of underage students who drink at Ship on any given night.

Fight the system in Shippensburg? You've got to be kidding me. How many times have you read the description "glassy-eyed and smelled of alcohol" from Ship police? And the DJ believes every word of it..... I have no police training and I could approach people on any given night in Shippensburg and make 7 arrests for underage. Focus on the real problems please!
So, the DJ would believe every word u would say then? How would u make YOUR determination since you could make 7 just by approaching the students? Isn't that exactly what the police do when formulating their opinion. You, sir, are a dolt. You're contradicting urself, but I would expect nothing less...must be the alcohol talking for ya. Read what u write before posting next time, willya? Nice post, dolt.

I was at freshman orientation and heard that lcb trooper give a speech. The size of his head alone was enough to scare me away from drinking on campus. I'll stick with my Byrd St. homies. Rock on!

When did we start allowing outside police forces to troll on campus? Is this a new policy?
If these students are such a threat and they are not even driving, the police should station themselves outside the Moose, VFW, and the Legion to look for drunk drivers.
Uh duh, it's a STATE University, so the STATE Police have jurisdiction there!!!!

Better catch up on your laws and regs, Socrates. If that is the case, why even have campus police and rent-a-cops? Maybe we should bring the FBI in too!
