I never heard of tipping a garbage man. That's funny. A hairdresser gets a tip everytime you go. Screw them. I don't tip my dentist. Just charge what you want for the service and forget about it. I can see tipping the paperboy because he or she gets up early, and has to collect house to house. The hairdresser sits on their lazy butt and does not go above and beyond. Tipping a teacher? Thats even funnier than tipping a trashman. They get the summer off, are unionized, get tenor and can't get fired after 5 years. Thats their tip. They suck up all my propery taxes also. Tipping Letter Carriers is good. They work in inclimate weather and do alot of walking. They go above and beyond. Babysitter and housekeepers can go bark up another tree looking for a handout along with teachers, trashmen, and hairdressers. The guy that originated tipping the hairdresser was just trying to get down her pants and ruined for everyone else. Tip Mail Carriers and Paperboys. What next? Tip the Cashiers at stores? Tip Bank Tellers. Of Course in Levittown you can tip your strippers and drug dealers/pushers. Why not?

The reason I put this post up was I was listening to the radio and the people on there were saying you to tip your housekeeper/babysitter a weeks wage. Maybe I would but neither I nor my spouse get a christmas bonus so no one that I pay gets one. My mother in law is a teacher and she never gave anything to her kids teachers becuase she was a private school teacher and said public school teachers make a good money more than herself and it didn't seem right to tip someone already getting paid more than her for the same job so I go with that too. I tip the paperboy the same as I do all year since they make next to nothing and are up early all days of the year even when it is a national holiday.

The irony of waiters and waitresses complaining about tips is they are supposed to give a portion of their tips to the busboys and dishwashers at the end of the night. They sometimes give the busboy a crumb and never tip the dishwashers. When they do share the tip like they are supposed to do they act like you should kiss their butt. Even though they stiffed you anyway by lying about their tip and only giving the busboy 1/5 of his due. They expect a tip and get upset if you stiff them by not giving them a big one, but they turn around like hypocrites and stiff the busboy and dishwashers out of their deserved portion of the tip!! Waiters and waitresses also don't declare their full tips on their taxes, so they are cheating Uncle Sam also.

I tip the garbage men because they pick up our trash even on holidays, and they never complain if we have tons of stuff for them to haul away.

Maybe you just have a thing for black men? The trend in the 1990's was for women to put out for blackmen as part of a compensation plan for slavery. Hello Mr Blackie, I hope this snapper turle says I am sorry for 500 years of slavery. Despite the fact Africans sold other Africans into it in the first place. We won't discuss that point. Just tap this booty and call it a day. But when Whitey sleeps with asian women he is being cheap. Now we are stuck with a bunch of poor half breed kids. Teach them to jump high and play basketball, everyone will love them.

I always get a case of beer for the garbage men. They have a messy job and I think they deserve a little extra around the holidays!

I always chat with the trashmen. I give them a bucket of KFC and Mad Dog 20/20.

I think all you white women should get some pantyhose and heels on and sit at the curb on a stool with a bottle of wine and wait for that handsome brother trashman at Christmas. Take one for the team white cracka hoes. Every brother deserves a cracker at Christmas. You mights wants to spray yourselves with that new Burger King Cologne that just came out. Nothing a brother likes more than eating a Whopper and getting his groove on with a cracker girl.

I have a question. I notice that tipping your hairdresser got the biggest poll numbers here. Outside of the fact half the woman in the philly suberbs cut hair for a living or are cashiers which could of course bias the poll numbers. My question is why do a hairdresser deserve a Christmas tip? They gets a tip every time you go! A teacher needs a foot in their behind, not a tip.

We always tip the garbage collectors $20 each at Christmas, inside a nice card that thanks them for their hard work. After we did that the first year we lived in this house, I noticed that if I forgot to put my can by the road they would come and get it, and sometimes they even bring it back up tot he house for me. I think that's great service, and worth about $60 each year. :)

I tip my letter carrier $20 cash every Christmas.

First of all, it's a tradition in my family to tip the letter carrier with cash; second, I know my letter carrier by name; and third, I have a friend who is a letter carrier who told me first-hand that they really look forward to the Christmas tips both for financial reasons and because it makes them feel appreciated.

Happy Holidays!

Come on people, stop being cheap. If your asking if you should tip, you probably should.
