Thank you very much for your reply. I contact with Wee Care but was told that there was no vacant spot. I have also been in contact with Ms. Charper from Kid's Kingdom, she is great. She answered all of my emails with great tips and detail. I hope that the Day Care can be just as reliable (cross my fingers) as she is. I will try my luck here. Thanks again for your reply.I haven't heard anything about kids kingdom. I would though stay away from doodle bug square. The owner's husband who is always there is an alcoholic. He left his own child in the car for hours, he of course was not sober. The girl in the afterschool program talks inappropriately and her marriage problems in front of kids. I would not trust a facility that cannot control her household with my children.
Creative learning center is also horrible. Their ratios are outrageous! There are never enough teachers for the infants rooms. The infant rooms are dirty and really not sanitary. I would definately stay away from these childcare facilities.
The one and only daycare I would recommend is Wee Care on 19th. They are awesome. Jill is on top of her game. It is cleaned and sanitized two to three times daily. The teachers there really care for the kids. Hope this helps:)

My little Playhouse on 50th St. Is a facility that has always provided excellent care for my 2 children. Every time I've had a question on program, staff is always willing to take time to talk to me.j8

Playhouse Leaning center is the best daycare I have ever had. Been there for years. My kids that are grown now went there and loved it, cried when I took them out when they got to old to go...and my youngest loves it.
I love the security the most. You have to have a code to get into the building..or buzzed in...and another code to get into where the kids are. However, I think the security should be beefed up even more..but that's just me. I have yet, to see any daycare have more security then the Playhouse.(Have not checked out the brand new day cares, but I think many of them are owned by the same company)
Playhouse is a Christian environment. If you have a hard to control child, you will not like this place. They have rules and if your child breaks to many rules he/she will be kicked out of day care. It's not bad rules but when you have a one or two year old...it can get a little hard. But it's fantastic rules. Kids are not allowed to bite other kids (and you know when they go through teething stage *sigh* that can be a problem).
Parents going to the Daycare are sweet and nice. Everyone in general respects each other, helps open doors for each other, turns down their music in their cars when they are there. etc.
If your lower income they take you.
If your higher income they take you.
Food is supplied.
* They are off on holidays, like many day cares, and sometimes they take half days close to the holidays...so watch for their holidays. If your like me where your work does not recognize holidays most of the time...your gonna be out a sitter.
*(bad side good side) They have a lot of extras. example pictures with santa, easter, etc...but you have to pay extra for these...but you don't have to get them.
* Extra activities. Only major problem I have had so far is the older kids are usually shipped to the other side of Lubbock because the daycare is to crowded. The older kids love it (usually 5 yrs old and up). Most of the parents try to take their kids out during this time. I have had problems with the Boardwalk times.
1. The bus my kids were in, though parked, another driver crashed into it, when my kids were inside.
(they were fine. They called me, called the ambulance..etc. No one was hurt it didn't even cause much damage..and you realize this can happen anywhere. Heck a vehicle can even crash into your home. Just made me more nervous my kids are being shipped from 82nd down around 20th street two times a day. Or in the bus 4 times a day depending on the activities. Same problem parents face when kids go to school and start riding the bus)
2. Recent problems I had. Do to government regulations when daycares go to public places ,(this is what they are telling me, makes since), they kids must wear a shirt for the daycare they are in. Well the older kids are going someplaces in the mornings with the day care. I don't take my child everyday sometimes due to me being off or my husband being off. I'll skip the drama on it, but in short, we didn't pay for a shirt so now they are saying my child, though I pay for daycare, can not be watched by the daycare because I will not pay 10 dollars for a shirt. If a shirt is a requirement and is only 10 dollars and your paying 120 to 130 a week for daycare..I think they should give the children the requlated shirt. So today I am at home since I do not have day care though I'm paying for daycare. I'm battling this so hopefully it changes. I know 10 dollars is not much, but they do have lower income people that can not pay these surprised amounts....
But over all I still give this day care and the teachers two thumbs up. Every day care will have a problem. This daycare will listen to you and your complaints...in fact they are listening to the shirt/event deal. Every problem we have had, even if it's repetitive..if you keep voicing it, they are still small enough to listen to you. hopefully the company does not get to big when don't.
