its come to my attention that Cameron Moffet (former point pleasant intermediate school principal) was arrested for child abuse when he grabbed a special needs child , drug him from the school bus, threw him to sidewalk and held him down by placing his knee between the kids shoulder blades. he wasnt fired for this but merely moved to a different department. This is NOT the first child he has abused. my great nephew was also abused while attending the grade school in New Haven. I'M TIRED OF MASON COUNTY SHOVING THINGS UNDER THE RUG!

Maybe your great nephew's parents should contact this kids lawyer. I understand they sued Moffet in federal court, won't be any home town cover up there

He didn't abuse that juvenile delinquent! He removed him from the bus after he refused and throwed a temper tantrum! It's amazing how many people are taking up for this Plant's kid! He's already been kicked out of Beale for good because of some serious behavioral problems but nothing a good old fashion ass beaten won't solve!

There's no cover up ... the man is innocent till proven guilty!

I think he handled the child in a manner that the situation called for. I personally would've lost my temper and beat his ass right there which he so rightfully deserves!

Moffett, Did not handel this in Professional maner! U must remember,The Plants child was shoved out of his seat by 2 boys who bullied him!! Moffett should have took all three boys off the bus & talked with them!!(Not just one that was picked on) U don't get it?? It don't matter how many times the child has been in trouble, or kicked out of other schools, who his mom or dad is, this don't mean a thing!! The School is respondable for his safety!! If he was that bad why was he not placed somewhere?(someone in system has evaluated him) Now there is a problem, U want to yell he"s a BRAT?? Someone didn't do their job as usual? No excuse for him being MAN__Handel!!! If this was a parent, on tape, they would get jail time!! Moffett is no exception!! He has a mean streak, Bad temper, anyone with fair eye sight can SEE this on veido!! WAKE UP MASON COUNTY get his Crazy A$$ out the School System!!!

So what your saying is that if your wronged in anyway that gives you the right to create a scene and throw a temper tantrum?

Let's say a cop pulls you over for speeding but you weren't speeding! You are now mad and now feel your being bullied by an authority figure in your eyes for something you didn't do! Now what do you do? According to you, you now have the right to refuse all commands by the cop and create a scene. He next ask you to please exit your vehicle and you start to compile but then jump back into the vehicle and tell the cop "NO" since you now feel your being bullied and wronged! Next, he removes you from your vehicle using physical force while you are screaming to the top of your lungs that "I'm Sorry!". Now your on the ground face down with his knee in your back being hand cuffed and then thrown into the back of his cruiser! At that moment, you realize you've made a serious error in judgement that just because you think you were wronged doesn't give you the right to question figures in authority and throwing a temper tantrum or resisting only makes matters worse!

See the similarity?

Your right about one thing, there was a better way for this situation to play out, the child could've just walked off the bus as told and the other two children couldn't also been disciplined too without creating a scene!

This Child has behavioral problem.. He was not put in Alternative school in Mason County, so they are supposed to be trained for these things that may happen?? They are codes, they go by if properly train. It takes two people to restrain, an work with them in a situation like this!! You have NO Clue how children with behavioral problems need to be dealt with, But it's sure not Violence, makes them react even worst!! Moffett looked like he was in a rage, getting the boy off bus!!! Some people need to study up on C.B.D.!!

A teacher who worked in Jackson and Wood County with children that had much bigger problems than being a spoiled brat. The children were so bad that they were removed from the rest of the school population because they were that dangerous! They were constantly being restrained because of violent outburst where they either physically attacked you or pick up objects and threw them at your head! Almost got an eye put out by one of these little bastards so don't tell me that I don't have a clue about BD children!

The problem with this scenario is that you are coming from a mindset of an average adult, not an 11 year old child with a behavior disorder. Another way it could have worked out was for the person in charge to make sure the child had an aide with him, allowed the child two minutes to calm down and followed the childs IEP/positive behavior support plan.

That would be a wonderful idea, but it's not real life. Is this child going to have an aide that will allow him to calm down and follow his IEP throughout his life? The aide would just be subject to the lawsuit too. It's ridiculous that people think that by 11 years old, this child didn't know what he was doing was wrong, and really, that is the root of the problem. My parents called that deliberate disobedience, and don't think for one second I was given a moment to 'calm down'. It is setting a bad example to this child for people to be rallying to support such behavior, the behavior was worthy of punishment/discipline. It is truly a sad sad situation, my heart goes out to the boy though, because he is not learning a life lesson, and one day it won't be a principal, it will be a police officer, and mark my words, this boy will suffer in the long run because he wasn't allowed to suffer consequences for his behaviors. A police officer is going to order him to do something and he will deliberately disobey and I'll guarantee you, they're not going to ask if he needs a moment to calm down or ask what his IEP is, somebody better help this child understand that there ARE consequences for his behavior before its too late.
