I have heard rumors of a bank robbery back in the 1930s in which the robbers fled by river and hid some gold somewhere up the creek at tombleson run.I have searched the web for information on this and came up with nothing.I would love to find out more on this story.Does anyone know anyting about this?

now see i heard it was close to KRT and i would look up the hill side every time i would pass it to look for the cave

the story that i heard was that it happened in wheeling by two brothers and they came down river in a flood and went up thombelson creek and burried it by a big tree somewhere. then one of the brothers was shot by a sheriff on the rt.2 end of tombleson and the other was caught and took police back to find the gold but by this time the water had went down and they were unable to find the correct spot.
