How unfortunate that a 50% increase in population at SkyView has resulted in a 105% increase in disciplinary issues, and the school year barely 25% over.

What ever happened to respect for administration? When did children decide they could act like adults? Gone are the days when going to the Principals office was equated with doom. Truant officers that commanded respect by their very presence have gone by the wayside, stonewalled by parents who keep lawyers on retainer.

I suggest that when administration hires an additional Dean, they perhaps consider hiring a very large and impressive individual who can bench press a semi. He or she can have the heart of a lamb...just don't let him wear it on his sleeve.

What ever became of expulsion from school? Or detention. My nephew was a repeat offender and was
expelled for 3 years from his school. Oh, the new Dean should also have a legal background as no less the parents will lawyer up when their kids are blamed for causing problems.

Parents nowadays can't afford to stay home with their errant children. So, Explusion is a day to spend on the internet, watch mindless television and wander the streets of the city. Somewhere in the last 20yrs, accountablility has been lost, and I fear for our children, my own included. When it was decided that children have more rights than adults do in regards to discipline and respect, it all went to pieces. Discipline a child the way WE were? Expect a call from Social services. Guilty until proven innocent prevails here, and just TRY to get a hearing with the state.
So, what do you do with a cronic offender? Even a first timer? Perhaps a day of menial labor, to prepare them for the future they are creating for themselves.

When I was in high school in the late 1960's and acted up, it was an automatic trip to the principals office and detention. Meaning 1-2 hours every day AFTER school in a room full of other people. No book reading, just sit there and be quiet. If I continued to act up, the Truant Officer was involved, and in some cases, it was a trip to the old Lyman School for Boys in Westboro, for lack of a better term, a prison. That made a lot of people in my era "Wake up and behave".

This is to society's youth!
I write to you today from the dark abyss of this dismal crypt. My heart bleeds from the razor sharp agony of our present relationship with one another, stained by the futility of this material world we live in.
Clear your mind and come journey with me, allow me to share some very important factors with you.
What was it that lead me to this living nightmare? A person just doesn't get up one day and determine, "I want to go to prison." No, it's a process. I feel it's a progression. A steady progression of sin and wrongful living. As I research this, I noticed some very interesting factors that lead to my coming to prison at a young age. What I've come to call stepping stones to prison.
Rebellion sets in at an early age and it takes dominion over one's life, dominion over one's emotions to a point where they are seemingly controlled to rebel, moved by the power of a rebellious spirit to reject right; to refuse to submit; to stand defiant, unsubmissive and non-conformist against all.
Yes, I see the reality of it all behind the concrete walls, the steel doors, and the high razor wire. Thousands upon multiple thousands are in prison today to prove the truth of what I am saying. Gangs, crime, crack cocaine, alcohol and drug abuse plagues this nation and our entire age with a demonic subjugation. Those that aren't in prison are tormented and enslaved, imprisoned by drugs, alcohol. They say, "Oh no, that'll never happen to me," but it does.
They are shocked and chained to sinful living. They call it partying. They label it fun, but in reality it's bondage, it's addictive. It's an emotional and spiritual enslavement that is real as the concrete and steel of prison. It's been said, "sin will take you further than you want to go and keep you longer than you want to stay." Oh, how true it is that Satan is a destroyer and he destroys the lives and souls of so many through rebellion.
This is where a young person oftentimes goes wrong. Being young and inexperienced in a lot of areas of life brings with it a certain amount of insecurity just naturally.
In an endeavor to overcome their feelings, a young person will begin to fall in with certain friends to gain acceptance and recognition. they will start talking like them and living like them.
If you are to be accepted in the crowd you feel you have to do what the crowd does. This leads to prison or detox wards and for some even graveyards.
Let's not forget that one's attitude can be productive or destructive, attitude is a condition of the mind. It determines one's outlook of the future. Try to keep it positive.
Parents must obtain a personal relationship with their children, be willing to find quality time for them. All children are reachable, teachable and capable of achieving success--regardless of their station in life. My philosophy is that school is set to transform children's lives.
Closing up, all I can say is it takes people who really love children to take a stand. The truth hurts. It may be very painful, but it must be told if the lives of our youth are going to survive, improve, organize and become productive and valued. It is a very painful feeling to be hugging your parents from a jail cell.

Tell it like it is inmate. The problem is spiritual, forces of darkness in the highest places.

Let's take a look at what our genius leaders are bringing on here in the near future. The dirty little secret is that MA is dying. There is no money. Sane people are fleeing these socialist hell holes so that they can repeat their mistakes somewhere else. Teachers are facing salary cuts next year in Leominster!

Why then is it that they are throwing their hard earned money at more security then? I know of one teacher that will be leaving. Most of the good ones will. Another dean is a laughable addition of more admin. overhead with no real disciplinary power. They are trying to put band aids on a shotgun wound to the head, delivered by a complete spiritual vacuum, which again is enforced by generations of leftist education.

I think parents are to blame for this problem. Parents are afraid to punish children for the fear of a visit from DSS! I have a 6 year old and if she ever thinks she is going to behave like some of these things she has another thing coming to her ! I am not saying BEAT your child but parents need to be more firm and don't give in to children! Scary times our children are in. They grow up way to fast !

When my brother in law told his childs teacher that he sometimes employs corporeal punishment, the teacher warned him that normally he would have to report him to DSS. He let him off in this case since the teacher knew him personally.

This state is run like soviet Russia. There are political operatives everywhere making sure you tow the party line. The first casualty, apparently are our children.

All the clowns that are running around wondering what has happened to society today can look back to the great left wing social engineers of the past 40 years. They have taken away parental authority, made it a criminal act to physically discipline your child, destoyed the family unit by enforcing deviant behavior and left the parents out in the cold. Ban prayer in schools but hand out condoms, berate children for beliving in any organised religion, dumb down the academics so no idiot feels left out thereby creating a generation of graduates less educated than children in some third world countries. They have created an atmospere where children are taught to not only question authority, but to ignore it.The excrement foisted upon the youth by the deviant entertainment industry is championed as free speech, but if you say a prayer in public you can be arrested. Keep voting Democrat folks, the socialists have you right where they want you. Kids today are being taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think. The situation is getting scary.

It's time to educate yourself with regards to the police state America the liberals have created. Police arrested 7 christians for going to a public sidewalk, kneeling and praying.

Once again Massachusetts is trying to tell parents how to be parents. Some nurse is now trying to ban spanking on children. A few years ago a law was passed saying it ok to spank your child in YOUR home as long as you don't abuse them and now they might tell you spank your child and go to jail. The government should not be allowed to tell anyone how to raise there children. I know when I was younger I got spanked, even with a belt. I was not abused but I would never think of doing half the things kids are doing today. I thank my parents for setting boundaries and having a punishment if I did something wrong! Too many parents are allowing their children to run the streets , to many parents are afraid of a knock from DSS and many parents just give up on there kids ! SAD

I heard about this. It's truly unbelievable. I guess they want to make sure that all parents are criminals except the ones that are raising criminals by not applying corporal punishment when needed. Welcome the the upside Alice in Wonderland state the leftists have created.
