Many residents have said that Mylott should be prosecuted for misappropriation of funds. If he was a "City Commishoner" or a "City Manager" he could be charged.

But a "Mayor" actually doesn't hold any legal liability dealing with and managing funds. A Mayor is considered a "greeter" for the city.

This is why most cities have City Commishoners and City Managers now even if they have a Mayor in place.
