Im glad some city officials are taking notice of the high schools condition. Seems lately the focus has been the library, then the police station. The children are our future. Lets put them in an environment that encourages them to learn and achieve.

Give these children a decent high school building! When I first moved to Leominster in the early 90's, there was no middle school and the elementary schools were overcrowded. Now, there are several middle schools but the high school continues to be a crumbling, patch work, and eye sore.
My kids graduated from LHS and I would love to see the school replaced or at least refurbished.
All the kids who remain in Leominster schools will wind up at the high school, so give this the priority it deserves.

It is about time they consider it. It is such an ubhealthy environment. My kids have never been so sick during the year until they started going there. The environment is horrendous and I am not so certain that official would spend as much time in such an environmental nightmare as they make our children do!

The Police Department has been waiting 30 years for a new station. I have been inside both buildings recently and have friends and family working in both. I can say with honesty and conviction, the police department is in far worse shape than the high school. It is not fair to the employees that are inside the police station 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year to have to be bypassed once again. It's time for this city to show it's support for those who keep the citizens safe!

Agreed they need to manage both.

Equally are important.

One step further, some one is going to develop sickness from continued exposure to the unhealthy environment, sue the city, win, and deplete any and most all funds necessary to repair.

Stock up on the hand sanitizer and Cold buster medicines.

I would rethink the 'deserve' part of this headline. The best thing that could happen would be to shut down the public schools and just give parents their money back so that they can either homeschool them or send them to decent private schools. Communist style central schooling has been a disaster from the moment it was foisted upon an unsuspecting public.

Seven Thunders you have done it again! Well said, I personally think they should focus on the police station. I pay taxes like anyone else but I have no children, but everyone needs the police at least once in their lives, now why would I want my taxes going to a school that I and the kids I DON'T have will never use. Fix the police station, there are other schools to go to.
