Breeder Thelma Blank from Bird in Hand Pa sold me a mix breed for a purebred ACA Shih Tzu and Keystone Puppies guaranteed the dog to be purebred but got real nasty when I told them that I had the dog DNA tested ad was mixed and I wanted a refund. The ironic thing is that Thelma Blank told me that I can still ACA register this dogs puppies for sale to people, the other ironic thing is Keystone Puppies from Mount Joy Pa said the same thing that I can still ACA register this dogs puppies for sale to people. This is very disturbing because I want my $550.00 refund

I say if your dum enough to pay for a purebread you should beware of the risk you take in dealing with people.

I think it's a bit of a mental problem those who have to have certain kind of dog and spends ridiculous amount of money to get them when there is no shortage of them at the local shelter to choose from.

It's like people who have multipul births with 6-8 babies at a clip and there are kids that need adopted.
Something wrong with you love the dog you bought and quit crying lesson learned don't pay lots of money for a dog.

Well said in many ways. But

Those 6-8 breeders are the effect of Welfare. I’ve actually heard those people say.“ Have another kid you’ll get more money”

Could you imagine the FEAR if you had to feed what you bred?

Dem welfare has been causing thos problem for 50 years now.

AKC paper is just an expensive piece of paper that shows the bloodline and thats it.

Don't people do research anymore?!?!? this is why there are so many criminals getting away with crap!! wake up people it isn't all the other person fault....,it is your fault for not being aggressive in your research and awareness and just jumping right into wanting the first dog you see because he is so cute.

I never knew you COULD dna test a dog but if you DO pay the price for purebred you should certainly have it tested I suppose.
Would there not be a way to test it before purchase? Dna can be tested from saliva stick sample
which could be taken and checked before the big money changed hands.

Also, I agree with he poster that there are many mixed breed dogs who need love and could be
adopted as well.

Question to anyone:
Is this breeder, Ms Blank, amish or mennonite?
It's an amish name and I bet dollars to donuts she is.
Amish are known to be unscrupulous animal sellers and are cruel to their animals
to boot.....at least far too many of them.

They are notorious for operating puppy mills as well.

DNA testing for breeds is absolute garbage. I had all my dogs tested using Wisdom Panel, which is supposed to be the best, and they all came back with hilarious results. My purebred Shih Tzu came back as American Staffordshire Terrier/Siberian Husky Mix. His sister came back as purebred American Staffordshire Terrier. My male German Shorthaired Pointer came back as Neapolitan Mastiff/Saint Bernard/Boxer/Rottweiler Mix. My female German Shorthaired Pointer (these dogs are brother and sister) came back as Siberian Husky/Boston Terrier/Miniature Pinscher/Miniature Schnauzer Mix. My German Shepherd Dog came back as American Staffordshire Terrier/Brittany/Chow Chow/Flat-Coated Retriever/Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shetland Sheepdog/Weimaraner Mix. My Shih Tzu is purebred with ACA papers, yet according to these fake DNA tests she is a large mixed breed. lol Nobody is going to refund your money because of a pseudo-scientific DNA test.

Shut down the puppy mills? Easy, stop buying from them, and adopt. Is it REALLY necessary a dog looks a certain way, frivolous.
