Has MADD shown any interest in the situation there or this case? There was a similar case in that town some years back. Many say cronyism took care of the driver in that crash which claimed a woman passenger's life. The driver had family in the Lenox Police Dept. That family member went on to be the Police Chief there. The drivers father was head of the Lenox Public Works Dept. at the time. The driver also had a history of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding that was well known in that town. He also had a previous crash similar to that one. It happened coming back from a 4am bar in New York state. The vehicle caught fire and rescue was put in danger due to gun shells exploding in the fire. Seeing there was a pistol and ammunition in the vehicle. Many also said then proper charges were not brought against the driver. Why?

I do not agree with Capeless..
Neither one of my parents drank...there was no alcohol allowed in my mother's home, yet I was going "over the mountain" when I was 16....and getting served. Met lots of other teens from PHS over there too...whose parents would have never believed their child could be involved in alcohol consumption. Good kids...good students too.
Why??? My parents sure didn't have anything to do with it...my peers did....and it is the same today. The only way a parent can be assured their teen is not involved in drinking is to lock them in their room 'til they are 21.... and also lock their liquor up and wear the key around their neck.

The driver in the fatal crash mentioned here was Allen R. Sykes of Lenox Ma.And Timothy Face was his cousin that became Lenox police Chief after this incident. Remember that incident well.
