Independent supermarkets still filling need
They once had the business mostly to themselves -- compact yet well-stocked grocery stores that didn't offer 100 different brands but carried enough to fill most customers' needs.

The Eagle shows it's laziness again as it always does. Of course Leob's sounds so good, all the Eagle did was talk to those who own or work there. I guarantee for every one that like Loebs there are five or more who will tell you it is the filthiest store in Lenox and that the owners care little about Lenox and only that their "parking lot" stay accessible. Not even close to being the "hometown store" the Eagle fabricates.

I love the smaller stores like Harry's and Price Rite. How is it that they can very often under sell the big ones like Price Chopper and Big Y? Why is it you can understand their weekly flyers while others have all this baloney about buy one get one but they won't tell you the price of the first one until you get to the store and find out it is really no bargain at all.
And what is all this crap about adding 15% chicken broth to chicken breasts? It makes the chicken tastes like salty rubber and is just done to inflate the weight.
