Where's all the rah-rahers that were cheering on task force after other "major drug rings" were taken down? No one saying great job ppd, no one saying dss should take his kids, no one saying he should rot in jail like the scum he is. Everyone stands behind this guy like he has done nothing wrong. What a joke.

Why put a picture of this guy playing football like he's some kind of great guy? This guy been suspended before when his rage made him shoot and kill a guy who was holding a kitchen knife. Heard he's been in trouble for steroids before but ppd hid it like they did with that other one the jail guard. Uses confidential informants like they are blow up dolls. But instead eagle makes him look like an upstanding citizen! Lucky for him his kids aren't old enough to read they think dads in paper cause he's good.

Come on DA Capeless, apply your BLIND justice and SEEK THE MANDATORY TWO YEARS IN JAIL.

Also , interstate drug trafficing is a FEDERAL FELONY. No more guns for these creeps. Maybe they can be further demoted to meter maids?

Drug violation in a school zone, two tears mandatory, ask DA Capeless about the NO TOLERANCE policy!!!

Criminal enterprise of interstate trafficing of illegal drugs, federal felony.

Their superiors should also be taken to the woodshed for a beating (e.g. demoted) for covering up for these creeps.

Mayor Ruberto, make a big ass out of himself, defending the loser from the PPD. Thank God his reign of terror is coming to and end.

thugs and pigs. If you believe any of the information released this criminal cop engaged in criminal behavior off duty as well as on duty. So the taxpayers were and continue to have not gotten what they were paying for. Instead we've been paying for a criminal cop, and I'm sure he's not the only one. A detective assigned to the Pittsfield Police Narcotic Unit and a member of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force, an "elite" countywide drug squad .......... it's been reported that his crimes involve illegal drugs.......get it, illegal drugs..... so I'm sure this member of the "elite" drug squad was a prick everytime he busted some drug dealer.........it's like a pig in sex crimes going out and raping women..........and I'd like to know who the other fat headed bald pig behind Kirchner is.

once again idiots...you have no idea where it was purchased! it is also DISTRIBUTION IN A SCHOOL ZONE...NOT POSSESSION! The officer was not the person getting the drugs in the mail, it was the "unnamed" person who ratted out the 2 officers. Where does it say he bought these drugs in a school zone???? please enlighten me...

Granger did the quick internal investigations, Wynn rubber stamped it, the mayor made some stupid comment and rubber stamped Wynn's rubber stamp! The whole thin reeks of a cover up. It's a case of taking care of the good old boy jocks. The picture on the front page of the Eagle sums it up. Big ex jock - we'll take care of him; regular good cop - we'll cut him loose.
Someone should be held accountable for a police officer who breaks the law and is allowed to continue to be a police officer while his command staff sweeps it all under the carpet. Granger, Wynn, Ruberto are as guilty for doing nothing as Kirchner is for doing illegal drugs.
Justice is certainly NOT alive and well in Pittsfield MA. Nice to see things don't change much in that town.
As with Watergate, the cover up is what always gets them. I'm sure if Pittsfield had a good newspaper with good reporters instead of a paper that's in the mayo's pocket there would be much more coming out of this story. But alas this is Pittsfield and along with the Stracuzzi, Massimiano, stories, this one will be buried and soon forgotten. So sad. Let's pray for justice.

So someone should tell mr capless that some of his high profile DA Assistant should not be allowed to prosecute any drug cases since he is also a very heavy buyer of steriods.

the newspaper stated recovered text messages and e-mails revealed the transactions between them all.

Not to defend the cop but I believe you are wrong. As it has been incorrectly reported in these blogs that Nautilus was involved therefor bringing the school zone issue. Well that is not the case. There is absolutely no proof of any wrong doing on the gyms part. Lets look at the facts, the cop bought steroids from an unidentified person. Did these transactions occur in a school zone? Does not appear so. Did the officer get caught with steroids? Does not appear so. Were incriminating text messages found? Yes. The fact that the officer was not caught with anything but text messages is probably why he is not been fired or charged. Should he be treated like any other person? Absolutely. I did some research and all he could be charged with is Conspiracy to possess a class E substance. If it went to court a regular citizen with no record(as I assume the officer would not have a record) on a first time offense with this charge would probably only receive a fine. Now if the officer had been involved with a more serious drug such as cocaine or heroin he would be looking at jail time. Steroids are listed as less serious than marijuana and we know how most people view the marijuana laws. I would like to know about the person who sold the officer the steroids. Why is he not being charged with Distribution? Does he get a free ride because he got caught and ratted out two cops. I would hope not. I'm guessing there is more to the story that will hopefully come out. I'm sure there are a number of law enforcement officers in bekshire county who are sweating it out right now.

Good post MR Researcher, Yes, Nautilus had nothing to do with any of this I was told. And as you can see "documents reveal officers steroid use" to wit text messages and e-mails. I heard the guy who got the steroids for the officers isn't a cop either.

Name one cop at PPD who looks like he's using roids. Really steroids are a lesser charge than Marijuana? Then who cares other than they're cops, the mayor doesn't seem to really give a shit either.

Hold on! MicHELL Wynn is the all-american here. A red, white, and blue, all-american. Not African-American just American, he said himself in honor of Black History Month. MicHELL Wynn, a true, proud red, white, and blue american. In honor of Black History Month, the Eagle looks at four prominent African-Americans in Berkshire County and one identifying himself as American, not African-American. You do Black History Month an honor MicHELL Wynn. And you're not sure if you're a role model for blacks, really?
