Some things never change in this city....threats to sue from the Boston lawyers if the city council does not meet their demands. Sound familiar?

I think the city's being unreasonable. Where was the zeal to protect the city when an alleged fraud of allegedly a half a million dollar either did or didn't take place in the water dept? Where was the zeal when the city gave the most generous tax givaways in the city's history to an alleged teen beer blast eatery? Where was the zeal to protect the city when it gave away a $250,000 gift and then allowed the rules for that most generous gift to be changed after the fact?

nd on another note. Maybe the police officers who bravely, heroically, volunteered to go to Boston can voluntarily give up that OT pay for the time they spent in Boston. After all there must personal reward which no doubt would out-weigh any monetary reward for their unselfish act of heroism and bravery. Right?

What is wrong with traffic? Businesses need traffic. No wonder no new businsses want to setup in pittsfield. If it were a drive up art gallery or theatre group, I bet it would be put right through with a bunch of tax breaks. Give the owner of the old school a break. He has had that building for 30 years and couldn't do I thing with it. Now someone wants to do something with it and a few jobs go with it. Not great jobs , but jobs.

I am glad you asked that question. The problem is that the city of Pittsfield is a clusterluck of traffic jams. More traffic lights per capita than New York City, stopping traffic every two blocks. Tens of thousands of gallons of gasoline wasted while cars sit idling at lights polluting the air. It is quite frustrating traveling around Pittsfield and one more dysfunctional drive up window will only make it worse. You can't expect these caffeine addicted drivers not to park out in the roadway because they don't care. They are also part of the problem.

Forget about it...it is a bad idea. Put them in the Big Y parking lot. They only use a small part of it anyway.

Ok I agree, Dunk This, the traffic signals, and stop signs are too much. Then there are the dumb lazy drivers. I can run in, grab a coffee and a donut and be out before the car that I followed into the parking lot, gets one car closer in the drive up lane. But what about the old school?

You forgot to mention that most of the cars sitting there idling are driven by people with Obama stickers on the back. You know, the same people who supposedly care about the environment and all that stuff. Yet there they are in their V-8 SUVs wasting gas and spewing tons of carbon into the atmosphere. Hypocrite much?

During the manhunt for the alleged bombing suspect in Boston, while the city was in a lockdown, certain donut shops stayed open to take care of the cops.

I know. I was there. I walked up to one and asked for a latte and a chocolate stuffed doughnut with sprinkles and the clerk asked to see my badge. I replied that I was not with law enforcement and was rudely rebuffed and sent packing. And to make matters worse all the cops waiting in line just snickered at me.

I am now preparing to file a lawsuit to try to get that doughnut and I expect to get it free and have them pay all my legal fees as well. I am really nobody to mess with as you can see.

in other news: a former Portland cop was sentenced to 5 yrs. in prison for infant/child porn, and a former Ocean Springs police officer also went to prison for child porn. And a former Conn. police captain was sentenced to 10 yrs. after he was caught with more than 26,000 images and videos showing the sexual abuse of young boys, including infants and toddlers. So at least thats 3 less pigs who will be snickering.

Horror at a wild animal park as a bear on a bike eats a money at the end of a sick circus cycle race. Certainly a disturbing little story. But not nearly as disturbing as watching the circus of clowns on the city council.

I hope the monkey was a regressive liberal. The bear just may have saved an entire family of monkies from degenerate behavior such as sexual depravity. They say that's how humans evolved thousands of years ago to escape from the liberal apes that were intellectually and morally destroying the entire species.

Hey! Be nice. City councilors are people too.

Well, some of them anyway.

That's a rather queer claim. Do you have any actually proof that any of them are people?
