It is time to put TRUE conservatives into our county offices and get this county back on track. This IS NOT a "political ad", this is a "fed up with the bullcrap" citizen letting you know that Chris Barlowe and William McNeill have been unwaivering conservatives in the face of facist liberalism and will maintain the course! Although the county budet was brought down during the past 2 years, taxes have not and there has been very little, if any, job creation for our unemployed citizens. The time is now for the Patriots in this county to unite and put REAL conservative, fiscally responsible, people into our local offices. Chris Barlowe and William McNeill refuse to be "politicians", They are REPRESENTATIVES. If you want to see fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and economic improvement.......... Vote for Barlowe-McNeill in the republican primary May 4, 2010.

No! Caldwell County voters should remember the last time they voted in a "block" of commissioners.

Although I am not a democrat, Barrier will get my vote. And in two and one half years, Griffin/Bollinger/Bratcher will not. I didn't vote for Griffin and Bollinger previously, and am regretful that I did for Bratcher.

Haven't we learned our lesson about voting for ANY democrats? Reid, Pelosi, Obama, etc.... Go ahead and waste your vote

Barlow and McNeil are being supported by Griffin and Bollinger. Just look at their signs they are the same ones that were used in 2008 with different names on them. They even have the "who will you trust" logo on them. If you are happy with Griffin, Bollinger and Bratcher then vote for Barlow and McNeil.

The first post in here seems to imply that Barlow and McNeil are different then Griffin, Bollinger and Bratcher.

I think Barrier has done a good job and deserves to go back.

Or... or... or... how about we voters do something weird? How about we actually look into what each individual candidate stands for and vote for the candidate instead of the rotten R or D party? I know--I know--I know--that's too ridiculous for some. But, as Pistachio Disguisey would say in his Disguisey accent: "It's so crazy, it just might work!"

Oh, but they are supported and financed by Ben Griffin. Is that what you want more of the same??? Just asking. Just look at the signs. Mr.Griffin wants total control

The previous commissioners did a lot , so yeah, I'm happy with them and anyone they endorse but for this discussion......
You need to state your source of proof for that comment. I PERSONALLY know Mr. Mcneill and he is NOT financed as you say by any of the people you said. Show me your proof. Just because two republican groups share the same card does NOT mean they are "financed" by the other ones with the same "card". Wheres your proof or are you just a keyboard commando with diarrhea of the mouth?

Because, Mr.Griffin said that he was going to personally support and finance them. This was at a meeting in Lenoir. He actually said it at two meetings which is fine. He can support whomever he wants to. You can too. That's what freedom is all about. I choose not to support total control and the current Commissioners. I want an independent voice and I don't know who that is right now. Same signs, Same ads, Same cards = Griffinites

I agree. These are all fine men and women. One must be crazy to run for office, but I admire them.

My vote will be for Mike LaBrose. Someone who will work for our schools and our children's education. Caldwell is so far behind and the current commission wants to keep us there.

Labrose is the last one I will vote for. The county commissioners have offered to build a new middle school but the school system has refused to build it because it is not expensive enough to suit their tastes. With 17.5% unemployment how can you ask taxpayers to pay for more than is needed?

Where do you figure that the taxpayers will have to pay. The school system has saved over 8 million for this project. They can pay the payment with lottery and other funds. If you attended the meetings you would know that to be true. As a parent of WLMS I have followed the process. I don't agree with everything the school board does, but they are right on this one.

Regardless of whether than can make the payment or not they should not build a school that is a lot more expensive than what they need. There will be other needs at other locations in the county and the money they save on this can be used elsewhere. If you follow the information given by the county and not just by the school board you will see that the commissioners have offered to build a new school comparable to those that have been built in other counties nearby. The school system wants one that costs a lot more.

Are you joking ? He is a yes man,a rubber stamp for ole Stone. He has no leadership !The CCC have agreed to a 13 million dollar school . But the (JOKE) of a school board thinks they need a 21 million one. They want to hold all repairs on other schools just to get it ! Who on that board knows any thing about buildings anyway ? Why do they think that a Tajmahal School is needed ? Do they thnk this is Right,or even fair ? The rest of the KIDS in our county sacrifice so that they can have (A STATE OF THE ART SCHOOL)? Sure they need a new school, but do they need the one that (MR STONE) wants ?

Exactly, I think once the public learns that the county commissioners offered to build a new school but the school board refused the offer the heat will be on the school board and the superintendent.

Both candidates are developers, or associated with supplying developers (land). Why would we want two more of these people making decisions for the county?

Did Caldwell County not learn from the election of Griffin, Bollinger, and the "rubber stamp man"?
