There is video of them trying to elude police by pulling behind Cheeks in Lenoir. She did not try to get off, did not look freaked out, she had ample time to get off. Take one look at his arrest record too:
http://madmikieslaidbacklounge.blogspot.com/2...
He endangered people every day on the roads and in his criminal profession. Bad decisions lead to bad consequences. Is this how he protected his family? Interesting that he never spent a day in jail for his offenses. A good father? 61 offenses including Meth distribution...They ran because they would have lost their families if they got caught. She didn't try to get off because she knew the other consequence of stopping with Meth with intent to distribute and she not being an informant like him would mean loosing those children anyway. They ran because they saw a life without their children, fiancee, etc anyway. They put many more lives in danger that day probably high on Meth and driving recklessly. Which he did quite often and she knew it. Numerous charges for assault on a female...probably why some are saying to his fiancee he can't hurt her anymore. People just want the facts because it is a tragedy and could have been even worse if more people were killed because of their stupidity. You want to do drugs, that's your choice. But you go on the road and endanger others, it becomes our business to know and to protect ourselves. I am sorry their children will grow up without them. I am glad no one else was seriously hurt in all this. But for all of those out there doing the drugs....look how badly you hurt those left behind. Oh and mothers..take note, he had a record. It's public information. Know who your daughters are dating. Spend the money on a background check if you have to. I think he should be called a murderer along with all the other offenses in his past.
Praise the Lord they dead now and prayers that more meth heads either get clean or get in jail-This is what DRUGS DO!!!!

Exactly "Enquiring minds" mother or not if she loved the child...she would not have it around drugs-point blank- therefore loved the drug more than life itself. she was smart enough to ask for help, but didnt

I'm not condoning anyone's actions in any situation. You obviously read absolutely nothing I posted. I said to take it as a lesson & let it rest in peace. But instead you all are turning tragedies into a soap opera. The families & friends of these two people can read all of this. & for all of you to be do judgmental of people you don't know & act happy that lives are lost are more messed up in the head than them. Their story is horrible, but the judgement you guys pass is worse. But you'll answer to that one day. Just as they answered to theirs yesterday. I'm glad yall have yet to make a decision that makes your fate. God forbid the day you do & everyone brings up your mistakes from your past like its a life time movie. Put em all on your headstone. Can't wait to read it myself.

Yes she was beautiful, but not so beautiful in her mugshot when she was arrested for Meth with intent to sell and distribute. Her court case set for November.

Why is it sad because she was beautiful?? Pretty on the outside doesn't mean she was so pretty on the inside. She too was not protecting her family. It is sad for her beautiful kids. Hopefully they will grow up and have a good life. Many have been through hard times and down on their luck. We don't turn to distributing Meth to make ends meet and provide for our family. We don't turn to theft and drugs. Being a good father, a good mother goes far beyond how you light up around your child. It's also what kind of example you set, how you provide, what kind of life you give them and I am not talking about monetary things. No one wants to speak ill of the dead but maybe it's time for a harsh reality check. These kids were on a bad path doing bad things. What would be said of them had they killed an innocent bystander, maybe a child when they were speeding and being reckless. Would the friends and families be screaming how great of a person they were?? Let's be real, we don't have to respect them and it's free speech to discuss it. This is how people cope with tragedy, they try to make sense of it all. Bottom line, drugs is where the fingers should be pointed.

Unfortunately, this is just an every day thing on Topix. People are constantly talking crap about somebody here, whether they know the person or not. They make fun of the families of those who have died, make fun of the deceadants themselves, and just don't care who they hurt.

I personally am sorry that so many lives were changed like they were yesterday. May the families find some peace somehow some way. May the other driver involved in the accident also find peace, as well as the people responsible for working the scene of the accident. None of this could have been easy for anyone involved.

The moral of the story is if you live fast then you die fast. Period I only feel sorry for the people they left behind. If you wanna get high on meth that's your choice but you better believe it will end all of your worries for eternity. Burke Co is known as the number 1 meth lab county of all 100 NC Counties. I could never choose to smoke that or crack or any other.

Looks to me that everyone has taken the death of 2 people and turned it in to a freaking Soap! Its no ones business what the 2 of them were doing together. Where's the respect?! Do you realize their families can read this?! How would you like to read strangers that know nothing about your life, sit back and discuss it like their opinion matters in the situation. Keep your nose where it belongs! And as far as endangering peoples lives... It happens everyday! Its a risk you take when you walk out you front door... He didn't set out to intentionally hurt anyone. It was a mistake that HE, his FAMILY and his precious daughter will have to suffer from. Not y'all thinking you know everything! He'll never get to kiss his daughter good night and she'll may never know the comforts of a father... Isn't that punishment enough?
Unfortunately when you endanger others lives on a public highway, the story becomes the public's business. They had no right to risk hurting others in their selfishness.

I agree with SuzyQ 1000% if you choose to go out here and run from the police and endanger yourself and others then you will pay the cost. Can't cure stupidity

"Their story is horrible,"

Sure sounds like it...but it needs to be heard.

Might....just might...save some other person's life huh?

Doesn't sound like either one of them was too good of a human to me.

The kids are better off.

I wouldnít say their kids are better off without them. I have seen people in worse circumstances turn their life around but itís too late for that now. I feel sorry for the families and Iím sure they warned her/him about the life style they were choosing. Even after being arrested they continued on the path that led to Sundays Accident.

It was their choice and they made it not only for themselves but for their familyís as well.

He has always been a "rebel" so to speak but how dare all of you get on here and talk about how bad of a person he was and that their kids are better off. You are only showing your stupidity and why this world is the way it is. Instead of bashing Pray for their familiies, his little girl, his mom, his sister. I didn't know her, I am his family. I never agreed with his lifestyle and the poor decisions he made but I loved him, as we are supposed to love all. I understand most of your opinions, and Thank God they didn't harm anyone else. Like I said I don't agree but you need to watch what you say because when you talk against someone it always comes back on ya. Put yourself in his/her families shoes, would you want to read all these negative comments knowing your getting ready to bury your fiance, son, brother, daddy. Have some respect folks. A terrible tragedy that could have been prevented but it happened but its not any of our places to judge them or their behaviors.

We judge peoples behaviors every day in a court of law. So actually it is our place to judge their behavior!
They made foolish decisions! Hopefully showing others what happens when you make foolish decisions like this will prevent someone else from going down this same road.

The Bible says not to judge whatís in a manís heart. It does not say we are not to judge a manís actions.

Matthew 18:15-17
New International Version (NIV)

15 ďIf your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that Ďevery matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.í 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Oh honey, really your gonna go there. Turn a few chapters back and read Matthew 7 1-5. Enough said.
I'm done with this convo, your tongue is like a 2 edge sword, just watch what you say or it will come back on you. Do you know where that is in the Bible or do I need to help you find that too?
I'm not here to justify anything he or she did. None of us were there to know what, why, or any other reason why they were speeding. It resulted in a tragic loss and a lot of people just wanna bash them now. Have respect for the family is all I'm saying. Have a great day!:)

We shouldn't judge any one... no one on here knows what was going thru both of their minds yes it was a bad decision on his part and now his family has to suffer alond with her family.. they not only put themselves at risk but everyone else that was on the road at the time... you are so heartless to say that their children are better off without them. no matter what they did seems like they both loved their children alot... none of you can say you didn't get a babysitter to go hand out with your friends or go to the bars or even strip clubs... come on people leave their dirty laundary for them.... my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and especially the children.. may god bless you all

Romans 2:1-3
Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judges another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things. And we know that the judgement of God is according to truth against them that practice such things. And reckonest tou this, O man, who judgest them that practise such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgement of GOD?
