Ask any parent of a student at student of the oldest high school in Caldwell County how bad drugs and violence has became since Principal Oliver left? There are students shooting up in class. How many kids are suffering since this joke of a principal took over. Mr. Oliver was a GOD SEND. He was still an active marine who was called to oversee a base elsewhere. So rather than find another Military Replacement, they look for the Yellow, jellyfish people they can find. This place was finally being cleaned up after wrongdoing weakling Wright left. This school is the worst. Drug dealing heaven. Care about your child, get them out of that hell hole. Don't think this isn't true because it doesn't appear in the Need Less Topic, talk to the parents removing their children. Look at court sockets or online the NC courts. Org website at the joke LOS officer assigned to work Hitler High. Parents, ask the Board backbone less dept of education before this place is known for something it shouldn't be. Oh we long for the says of Colonel Oliver. Why these Board Of Education idiots couldn't find another man will military ties who will not put up with needles in the classroom. Teachers turn a blind eye because they have families to feed but how many fear coming to work unarmed? Look up www.nccourts.org search by county, then officer name, what you see is only 1/4 of what REALLY GOES ON. All the military people out there, why cannot Hibriten get help? What they have now is a joke. This school will be the next Newtown. We are already number one for a whorephanage baby factory thanks to miss Tuttle. She is am embarassment to all who are teaching abstinence to their children. A while other can of worms. Parents, get you children out of Summit Apts High. Your kids are literally going to HIGH school when they go here.

You are clueless!!! Return to elementary school for spelling lessons. You either have no idea of what the teachers and administration try to do by keeping kids in school or know quite abit and do nothing to help. If the administration took more negative action, there would be more futures ruined and more parents upset for not working with there kids. If you think you can do better, then help and quit crying. Ignorant!!!!

The current Principal also has prior military experience. Actually, you only need to ask the faculty about the climate of the school vs last year and they will tell anybody the cli9mate of the school has improved significantly. Besides, drug problems are in herited. They don't just suddenly occur. It is called a culture and that culture is created over a period of years, not a few months. Quite frankly, the new principal inherited the culture and is attempting to change it.

If this Alumni1 person learned how to spell and make valid points from Hibriten, does he have the right to say the school is worse off now than it was when they went?(-;

He does have a right to express his opinion but until he knows all the facts, he needs to keep his trap shut! I would say that this person is also clueless. All schools across the board are worse then they were in years past. The students today have less respect and little accountability. Until he is in the schools all day and in every office/classroom during the entire day, he doesn't have a clue as to what is said and done for the school or the students within. I cannot believe I am entertaining this a__hole but he thinks he knows it all and wants to slander decent people.

You are right, he does have the right to his opinion. And he does not know all the facts. I am at Hibriten everyday, and in reality, the atmosphere is better this year than it was under Oliver. Under him, there was absolutely no discipline with the students. As long as everything looked good on paper, he was happy. The teachers had to ban together to get anything done. The great military principal was hardly there (military duties) and when he was, you never saw him in the halls. The difference this year is that incidents are not necessarily being swept under the rug.

In recent years, the approach that was dealt by administration (including the great Oliver) was to do nothing unless it looked good to the public.

This year is not the current administration's fault. This is an accumulation of years of bad leadership. So, if you want to say Oliver was great, go ahead, but you weren't there in the trenches. Even if I do not agree with everything the new administration has done, unlike the old administration, they are at least trying to fix the problems instead of allowing them to get worse.

I do think he is ok but he worries to much about little stuff today he got mad because there were a few pieces of trash left during first lunch. He once said he was going to give me OSS for 3 days for being late 5 times during first semester and keep me from graduating this. I could give him the names of at least 7 drug dealers right off the top of my head why isn't he trying to do something about them instead of worrying about me being late a few times when I have been a straight A student all through our high school. And he tries to win the students over by giving us doughnuts and giving us free hoodies.

What you do not see is what is behind the scenes. W can all name several drug dealers. Getting the evidence needed to arrest them is the problem. How abort if you know so much, get that evidenced and report it to the SRO. Knowing and having hard evidence needed to make arrests are two different things. I an happy with administration. I enjoy teaching at HHS. I have never been scared there and for the most part, the students are awesome. No high school is a utopia. It is high school for goodness sakes. Instead of complaining, lets all do our best to make it three best high school around. I am PROUD to be a Panther.

It is harder to get the evidence for SRO or administration to get the evidence anymore. There are rules in place that makes it harder to catch these characters. There are more regulations that get in the way now than there was even 5 years ago. In other words, the same rights that protect your privacy are the same rights that keep the drug dealers from getting caught.

Here is what I do know about our new principal: He is visible. I have seen this man at more chorus concerts, band concerts, plays, JV and Varsity football games, JV and Varsity soccer matches, tennis matches, JV and Varsity volleyball events in one semester than I have seen many administrators in their entire careers. I have seen him pick up trash in the parking lot and in the halls. I have seen him give lunch money to our students. So what if he gives us doughnuts? Is that so bad?(btw He buys them with his own money, not the school's.) The front of our school is refurbished and repainted...finally. Hibriten was far from perfect when he arrived. At least he is trying.

Problem too many rich kids that the staff has to kiss parents ass to keep their job. There have been issues at Hibriten for a long time, from staff fratinizing with students and among themselves,to politics. With Buzz it was the pretty face, Lewis think maybe he was over his head. Thought a new Super would change things, but I believe his blind, or the politics has his hands tied. If you screw up as staff you get promoted to the big house on 321.

There is a mess to clean up since wrongful Wright, but 1 step forward is 4 steps back. See who has enrollment drops and see why Swingers.gersville HHS gets away with more and more. Recall these words when HHS makes national news. Glad my children are gone. Now, how many teachers begin leaving. Now that Mike Byers jail time is up, maybe they will hire him back. Students smell WEAKNESS and all male military needs in there before Hitler high graces headlines. I'm a teacherx and I'm leaving. The 2 years of sanity are GONE.

I saw Oliver stand up a Dr who had a daughter frequently abusing and selling pills. Even dropping them in my class room. My eye Dr never stood a chance nor did Oliver care what he said, off to jail she went. As hot me its hard to type on a Droid with autocorrect. But, it doesn't excuse watching rubber going around a child's atm and shooting up in class. Then a coach trying to yell me its "vitamins". There is a mess from Wright and his merry mayhem, but Oliver was decent and had a 15 year mess to clean. However, Oliver was still active duty and called elsewhere. Today you are dealing with society who parents manufacture drugs and use their children to sell. No matter how great they are in football, they are drug pushers for their recently parolled parents. One whom was a student and still a freguent visitor to jail. Many, many, many great students went to armed forces under Oliver. Although you pick my have military background, she lacks RESPECT held by Oliver. Oliver stood up to parents and ran school for once. But don't believevmez my lunch is over, I said goodbye today to a student who cares about survival more than education. Point at poor spellers trying to get you attention of this help hole. I will teach K -5 before this risk of being a drug deal gone bad.

Parents need to wake up place some responsibility on their kids and instill the right morals and values. The news states that Caldwell is in the top 2 counties in the state for drugs. Mr. Wright was more laid back than he needed to be but I saw him in the halls almost every class change. 95% of the teachers in that school genuinely care, want to see the children succeed and would never put up with the things that go on if they saw them. The fact is the kids get sneakier every year. Girls were sewing compartments into their bras to hold cocaine when I attended. How is that a teachers fault? It is their job to teach the students not parent the little fucking brats too. These kids now are self destructive and if they are doing it in school they are doing it out of school..are the teachers to blame for that too?!?!?!
