Does anyone know any more info on the man hit by a train in Hickory yesterday? The guys name was Christopher Auton from Granite Falls and he was in his 30's. Does anyone know who his family was or any more info? I know a Chris Auton but do not know if it is the same one, as it is such a common name. I would like to visit family or send flowers or something....

I heard his condition is pretty bad. The Auton family has suffered many losses already. Jennifer Auton died this past Tuesday. She was Josh Auton's wife and the mother of 2 small children. Please pray for Chris and the entire Auton family.

You are right, the Auton family has suffered tremendously in the past week, Jenny, then Chris, and now Alesha's newborn just passed away. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Cathy, I am so sorry for your loss. Jenny was such a sweet and beautiful girl and will be missed by everyone that knew her. I will keep you and the entire family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much. We are all having a very hard time, especially the kids, ages 5 & 3. Not knowing what happened is making it even more difficult, and it will be several months before we get the autopsy back. We all have a very large hole in our life right now, and aren't really sure how to go on from here. We need lots of prayer for guidance, comfort, and understanding.

Sounds like you know where to turn for comfort :-} May I add my condolences to those already posted. May we look forward to the time when these things [sorrow, pain, death] will be no more.[Revelation 21:4]
