Obama played his hand to win the election...not to help America in any way. He has an agenda, and it is NOT in the best interest of America.

When will we learn? Our Founding Fathers knew what they were doing when they designed the Constitution. They wrote may papers and commentaries about its strengths and weaknesses. A weakness, used by Obama with extreme accuracy and aforethought, "a Democracy only works as a form of government until the people learn they can vote themselves 'gifts' from the Treasury". Romney hit the nail on the head with his recent analysis.

So...while we cannot do anything about Obama's election, we can rather easily predict his leanings and his tactics. I, for one, believe he should be impeached, but too many folks depend on him and would fear "change" (imagine the VP we have now stepping in? Ouch!). Republicans will, hopefully, stand strong. We'll see 4 more years of gridlock, and America will suffer...just as planned by Obama. Oh,...and when the batteries run down in the Democrat's teddy bear, don't come whining. Next time we will get it right.

Obama won, election is over, enough already. Romney and his supporters are the sorest losers ever. Guess Romney has never heard the word no before and has no clue how to handle not getting his way.

Its not about winning our losing anymore, its about survival as a nation. I for one would have voted for just about ANYONE except for OBAMA, probably even you if you ran against him. The sad part is that the majority of his supporters dont even know anything about his policies, or the direction of this country. Its not fun and games popularity contest anymore if we want to survive as a country we need better leadership.

I was not a fan of either candidate but the elections are over and time to move forward. You are correct, we as a nation are in big trouble, and until we have some unity we will continue to slip downward. Sadly, us the average citizen, have lost more and more control our of country, leaving us at the mercy of big government and big business, which does not have our best interest in mind. How can we expect the country to unite when we can not even manage to on a local level.

and when we give more power to a government who probably can't even agree on what to have for lunch...we have a problem.

The issue isn't JUST Obama...as much as the republicans would like for everyone to think it is. The issue is the fact that no one (republicans or democrats) is willing to compromise or work with the other side...so we are stuck in a deadlock where it is impossible to get anything done.

Libtards? Thats mature.

I'm sure this has EVERYTHING to do with Obama being elected and NOTHING to do with the fact that the power is once again split between the parties in the House and Senete...

The stock market is down because everyone is afraid of the fiscal cliff and the fact that, with the government spilt, it is going to be difficult to get anything passed in time.

You are Partially Correct however the person responsible to push through the problems and lead everyone to compromise for the Good of America is the President. As long as the president is so absolutely aligned to One Party and Not to America, then Compromise will Never be achieved. When elections take place Party Affiliation is intended yet in America once a candidate is elected President he is to represent ALL Americans and Not just One Segment/Party. In Americaís History it can Best be seen by another President from Illinois who struggled through historical turmoil in America while also desperately seeking compromise to retain the American Union. It is sad Obama is so Limited in his Views and unable to embrace the views of others.
The problem (IMO) with compromises is that no one is completely happy. Compromises, however, lead to progress. At least something gets done. Then there are adjustments and more compromises...and more progress is made. But, when either side becomes so entrenched in its position that it cannot compromise, progress halts. Gridlock sets in. Sound familiar?

Still, some things are "non-negotiable". Many of these "non-negotiable" things are our nation's issues today. They are big issues. Non-negotiable ones. And we are divided as a nation. Democrats (especially the far left) should not expect compromise on issues like abortion, same sex marriage, gun-control, etc. just because our president leans that way. Ain't gonna happen.

Wrong again. Actually successfully self employed for many years and pay 100% of my health insurance premiums. Why is it anyone that disagrees with GOP, you idiots assume we don't work? I assure you Romney had no concern for the working class and I am not saying Obama will do any better but that move to the ultra christian right pushed me away from the GOP.

<quoted text>It is commendable that you have taken responsibility and paid your way your whole life. Some Americans have not had that commitment and depended on the Government for an Income. To compare Romney and Obama I do see a definitive choice between the two and benefit America will derive from there leadership. We have a record to compare for each, Romney a life of work, both Public and Private, then Obama limited to four years in the Whitehouse as other history has been kept from public scrutiny. One was presenting the case that Hope and Change are available with the proper foundation and motivation. The other candidate presented an argument that you are a Victim and you should be compensated.
So end result is the majority chose the option of being a victim and has put America on the path of Europe, even worst, Greece. The National Debt is at a point that must be immediately brought under control or it will destroy America. Obama’s stated economic policy is to continue to borrow and spend money.

I found numerous quotes but two written down by Loren Collins seem to be most Applicable:

¬ďGreat nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.¬Ē

¬ďA democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.¬Ē

America celebrated it’s 200 year birthday in 1976 and under Obama America is being destroyed.
I do not dispute, we are in trouble. I am not pro Obama nor pro Romney. Both fiscal plans in my view fail to assist small business or the middle class. Bottom line is until party politics are set aside and lobbyist are removed from the process the system will not work regardless which party is in office. No one knows exactly where the breaking point for Americans is exactly but divided as a nation will only extend that point , only be delayed as party politics will continue to rule the day

<quoted text>For me the choice for president was very simple. The MOST Important Issue was the Economy and how that problem was to be addressed. It is rather easy to understand that with a healthy economy, Jobs exist, Revenue flows, etc. Over the past four years we have seen an emphasis on Borrowing and Spending Money. The desire is to Tax to cover the cost of spending yet NO Amount of taxing will cover the shortfall of funds. As I previously stated,¬ďObama¬ís stated economic policy is to continue to borrow and spend money.¬Ē For me that is certain destruction of America. Even a Credit Downgrade could cause Americas destruction.
Romney was proposing cuts in spending, curtailment of bureaucracy, Addressing Healthcare Cost and work towards a balanced budget among other actions.
When you look behind the claims and numbers Obama has not really done anything to improve the economy while Romney had a plan which would have a positive impact. Other issues like Fast and Furious, Boarder with Mexico, Benghazi, Lybia and other issues, to me, reflect great dishonesty within the Obama Administration and VERY likely Obama himself!
The economy is a major concern to each of us and yes Obama has allowed entitlement checks to increase however if you suddenly stop the entitlements then is when the economy will tank. One certainly realizes those receiving entitlements generally put that money back into economy which does help support local businesses thru this financial crisis. If you really wish to see the economy hit bottom, then stop the extended unemployment and additional assistance without having jobs available.

When an economy is tired, a little caffeine to stimulate is helpful, but when the economy is dead, no amount of caffeine will help.

Just as Romney did not understand the "new" demographics (Obama certainly did), Obama does not understand economics.

Let's face it...we are in for difficult, if not cruel, times. Entitlement spending must be curtailed. Taxes will need to go up, too. Loopholes must be closed. It is time for our government to practice a little austerity. If you don't know how to farm for food and fix things when they break, you better start learning.
