2006: 1-9
2007: 0-10
2008: 1-9
2009: 2-8

..I'm going to be generous and say they get 2 again, possibly 3.

I say 2005 was one of the best years but you know give it time there be back when the boys has a coach they want to play for. Go LCHS everybody in LC knows you can do it.

Don't get me wrong. I played Football @ L.C years ago. I want nothing for the best for the kids. It seemed the program went way down when Don Bower came in for one season and left in the middle of the night without ever telling one single player, and Mike Simms had a one trick pony w/ Travis Adams in the later 90's. After that maybe one or two 6-5 or 7-5 seasons in the last 14-15 years. I'm not giving up on the current staff yet. But when your in the classification L.C is in you should have 65-70 boys out for Football. It's like there is no intrest in young men now days to play God's greatest game.

When I went there in the 80s there was very little interest in the student body in actually playing. Greenback probably had more guys on their team. Does not sound like it has changed.

I played for LC in 1962 we had a great team. Since I left the team has gone to pot. I should have stayed and played for 48 more years. I think I can still out play most of the ones there.

His/her name is a reference to Saturday Night Live Celebrity Jeopardy, where Burt Reynolds wanted to be called that. That would be why I said what I did at the end of my post (a Burt/Turd Ferguson quote). The sketch is absolutely hilarious- calm down.

As much as I love references to classic SNL skits, I think this thread about LCHS football needs something...

...MORE COWBELL!

Actually, it needs some complaining about the Mexicans! No topic in this forum is complete without some griping about our Mexican "invasion".

So let's break it down.

LCHS football has been nothing since 2005. This would be the year we moved from 3A to 4A, leaving the likes of Scott County and Gibbs behind for the likes Maryville, West, and Powell. Lenoir City had only 2 wins in their region during the four years in that district, both in 2005. This past year saw another bump up with the district realignments, to even fiercer competition in Farragut and Bearden. This ensures that, unless another school is built in Lenoir City, slicing the enrollment, we will be stuck with these powerhouses and locked in the basement of our respective district for eternity, listening to Buffalo Bob scream at us from above to "put the lotion on the skin!"

But why was LCHS bumped up to begin with in 2005? The answer: a significant rise in the school's enrollment, credited to none other than...THE MEXICANS!

Therefore, we can blame our filthy foreign friends from the south for the death of what used to be a semi-respected, occasionally mediocre, Lenoir City High School Panther football program, and prove that any topic related to the City of Lenoir City can be connected to our status as "Little Mexico".

USA! USA! USA!

I will now sit back and hope someone gets the Joe Dirt reference, and continues this wild off-track circus of funny quotes.

Hey, I was voted a co-captain my Sr. year @ L.C. We had to start Freshman my Jr. year on the off. line and we went 1-9, but we beat Loudon though. I'd just like to see some young MEN go out and make some plays. Seems like Lenoir City is turning over to the Gays and Mexicans more and more each day. We could win a futbol match anyday and state champs in fag-tag.

Alot of those boys are working really hard to be a productive part of the football team. Regardless of how bad the team is this year, the boys who are trying need your support or you will only see things decline in the future. Who is going to want to play next year if all you get for playing is trash talked? They could use the support of everyone involved.

Why would anyone want to play sports at LC? To me thats all that happens is the parents talk trash about the coaches. So dont say support the players and team when parents act the way they do.

i think its time the coaches are held accountable for the piss-poor jobs that theyre doing at L.C.H.S,(we have to on our jobs).on every post someone is saying "if the parents would stay out of it", come on people get your head out of your a#@ and realize the right people arent in place to coach the teams the high school has.1 post talks about the boys are working hard, you can work hard all day long but if you dont have a coach to teach them the right way its all for nothing!look @ the baseball team, if you practice as much as they did you would have to get better but they didnt and it goes back to GLENBOY not being a good coach!
