No more excuses over senseless garbage. We are involved in a cultural war which will define the future of America. The current administration has been rabidly anti second Amendment. They look to criminalize the hard working everyday American while engaging in criminal acts like "Fast and Furious". If you can afford a box of ammo you can afford a membership. GOA and 2nd Amendment Foundation are good as well but the NRA is the biggest and most powerful. Obama is pulling out all the stops to make what is the most patriotic organization look bad. Help turn the tables on this pretender to the throne. If you believe in your right to self defense and you believe your other rights are only as good as your ability to fight for them please join.

People are seeing the NRA as the fringe group it is. No one wants your hunting rifles or handguns. But sane people realize the need to keep assault rifles off our streets. It is a sensible step. But no one expects the NRA to be sensible. So keep fear mongering and telling people that "they" are coming after your guns. Keep making your scary videos about being ready to start killing people and "over my dead body" will they take my guns. The light is shining on you now. People are waking up to the insanity you preach.

Unfortunately it is individuals like you who do not understand that it's not about gun control at all. It's about people control. All other rights you hold dear are only as safe as the second amendment. You have been brainwashed by the liberal media and are a lost cause. It is evident by the way you use the term "assault weapon". Assault weapons are capable of full automatic fire and have been highly regulated since 1934. Go ahead and tell me about high caliber "clips" and continue this ignorance. Thanks by the bump up the forum by the way.

If more gun control equals more safety, why are the most dangerous cities in America the most heavily laden in gun laws? This applies to the President's hometown of Chicago. Seems like a good argument to oppose the current hysteria to me. Just a damn shame Connecticut chose to have restrictive gun laws that left all those children without any hope of a fighting chance.

If gun control laws make us safer, Chicago would be the safest place in America.

Enforcing gun control laws would make us safer. Enforcing the background checks. Funding the programs that track criminals and mental patients who should NOT be buying guns. If you are law abiding and can wait through a period where you are checked out, then you can have your guns. You people are unreasonable.

No law abiding gun owner is in disagreement with background checks. We all fill out 4473's to ensure only good people are armed. You, like most emotionally irrational libtards want to paint a hard working American gun owner as a nut. The truth is the exact opposite. I have owned all types of firearms for decades and have never injured anyone.I have always wanted felons and those who use guns irresponsibly to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I have never advocated or found any material in which the NRA supports mentally unstable people to have weapons. So now Mr. Full of **it, answer the question. Why aren't cities with the strictest gun control laws the most dangerous to live in? It's really a simple question. No need to vomit the irrational bile the libtard media spoon feeds you nightly. Just answer the question.

The American public is being heard loud and clear how they feel about this issue. It's not just guns and ammunition that are flying off the shelves. I checked several sporting goods suppliers. It's ruck sacks, med kits, MRE's etc. The American public appears to be stocking for armed insurrection. Not a threat, just an observation.

Unless you believe that anyone should have access to the AR-15, then why are you in disagreement with the administration? That is the only type of weapon they target and the rest of the proposal is recommendations that you just said you agree with. Stop being unreasonable. Perhaps if the laws were enforced and the money from the gun lobby spent on safety issues, Chicago and other cities wouldn't be so violent. And, I am a woman, who owns a gun, and has also never injured anyone with it. My father was a life long hunter, who taught my sister and I how to shoot. I am married to a military man and I am frequently alone and will use my gun if I need to. But, I do NOT agree that all guns have a use in public and I DO believe that everyone who owns one should be checked out. So I don't have a problem with Obama's recomendations. I am not a libtard....I am reasonable.

I am a gun owner however I am 100% in favor of banning assault weapons. There is no need for a weapon like that.

Why not make it a threat? I will.
Get ready for war people. If this president with a king complex tries to round up the guns, it is going to be very messy.

You are definitely a libtard.
You proved that when you started telling how other people's money should be spent.

All them background checks do is make paperwork for government employees. Anybody who wants any kind of gun can get one, The present governemnt gun control programs aren't doing anything but harrassing legitimate gun owners. I'd like to see the statistics on how many guns used in crimes were purchased legitimately in accordance to our present gun laws.

Now let's get back to obsessing about a bicycle rider using steriods and a football player making up a fake girlfriend.

Why shouldn't any law abiding American who passes a background check be denied an AR-15? After all it has an action that dates back over 100 years. You only hate it because it looks scary and is black. You are not only a Libtard but Racist as well.

Actually the country is listening. They have been lulled into this false "sporting purposes" nonsense for too long. The Second Amendment troubles the hell out of Obummer, Fineswine, McCooky, Etc. and that shows they understand it was never about deer hunting. Honey, nothing in the middle of the road lives long. Either you support gun rights or be willing to see them die by a thousand cuts. Today you support getting rid of this type and the paperwork is already being drafted for the next type. These people aren't about reasonable gun laws, they want you unarmed. If you want to insist on spewing this "I've got a gun and..." nonsense just get rid of it now. If you can't see where this is going it's because your that frog that just sits in the pot of water on the stove. As your beloved black messiah turns the temperature up you just think it's global warming.
