Very interesting to know we may have a choice between a Dem. and a Republican impostor. Party means nothing to me, but I sure will take a look at Mr. Cole.

Hurley was a great Representative. Ferguson got revenge on her for beating him through his friend Calfee. The only hope now is Allen Cole. How about a Cole-Hurley ticket? Instead of one Rep we can now have two great conservatives working for the district.
I have been reading Hurley's facebook page. I do not think she is interested in helping Roane County oust any further Democrats. She seems to be really hurt by this attack from Big Den.

Leslie,
You are not even located in this district. It says your location under your name. You are not voting for Kent Calfee, you are not even voting in this state. Try again.

Mr. Cole is unemployed. He has not been employed for over a year. He has lobbied for new jobs in Roane County and was told by the county commission that he was allowed less than three minutes to speak at a meeting and he was so angered about it, he is running for office. Cole all the way.

I invited Mr. Calfee over to my house to chat with him about what was important to me. I told him that I did not want to ever even hear rumors about a state income tax and that I wanted the silly handgun carry permit system repealed and constitutional carry instituted in the state. He agreed with this without hesitation. I would like to see a RINO, much less a full-blown liberal agree to this. You people are insane if you really think he is liberal.

Where do you live? The 107th General Assembly passed a law banning a State Income Tax. Had you kept up with what your current State Representative was doing instead of believe bogus mailers and lies from Kent Calfee, you would know your concerns had already been taken care of. Only a liberal lies and takes credit for someone elses work. Morons. Honestly.

Implying that laws cannot be changed. If you think that a law is perfect security for your natural rights (such as guns and, I believe, freedom from income taxes) then you are such a fool as to not deserve to keep those rights. I don't believe that laws are cruise control for citizen responsibility. Mr. Calfee did not take credit for anyone's work. He said, simply, that should any measure be taken to impose an income tax he would oppose it.

I am sure he did. But by not taking any action to say what he himself would pass or attempt to pass, by nature implies that not only does he not have any actual ideas of his own to run on, but that he intends to continue to "work" on bills that have already been passed. You are the fool for voting for someone that not only lobbied against bringing jobs to Roane County, but is now campaigning on the backs of the work of previous assemblies. He has no clear view of how to communicate with this Republican majority because in truth he has never been a Republican.
