We're "Moving on up." Well some are anyway. The rest of us will just have to wait until the deal is closed and they get moved in to find out what it is really going to cost Lenoir City taxpayers. Who besides Brian Petitt owns the building?

Say what you will about L.C. government. Buying pre existing buildings is Genius. between buying this and leasing the old hosiery mill Mr. Akins saved enough to have earned the past few years of 2 pay checks.

Why are we getting such a "bargain "? An eight MILLION dollar building for less than Eight hundred THOUSAND?
Can you imagine how much it will cost to heat, cool, and maintain a building that large with that many windows, wasted space, elevators, daily housekeeping?
If it is really going to save money in the looking run, great!
It could turn out to be the worse decision we could make.
Hope they do their homework before saddling the people with a building that whoever the present owners are are willing to give away at 10% of its "value."
Is this what we call "shovel ready " jobs on the horizon?
