Why would I make anything up on this forum? Not only do you say demeaning things about me (I am gay, I am Yoakley's mom, I am Buckles mom, I am codependent, i am liberal) now you call me a liar...
Dude, I am a mom with a kid at LCHS and a kid that graduated there. I speak with people and know some of the teachers from a variety of things. If you honestly believe that the staff is happy with what happened, go on and believe in your version of life.
I realize you think that you can bully a woman...what, mommy was mean? Travel. Get out. Stop hanging out at Bimbo's and meet some people who are not like you. Read a book....just saying.
Did someone call you gay? Or Buckles' mom?
You cannot tolerate dissent - the very thing you accuse me of. Instead you rely on guilt-manipulation and invent a new personal history for me.
So in addition to causing gay kids to commit suicide, and causing all the good faculty to want to leave, I now learn that my mommy was mean, I hang out at that sleazy Bimbo's a lot, and I'm scared gays will run naked in the streets and come redecorate my home.

And at long last you resort to "It's all because I'm a woman!"

Yes, you do exhibit all the traits of a codependant. The "poor me" victimhood you have turned to fits right into that mold. It's very consistent with it.

Get the help you need. It won't be found on Topix, and you won't get it by wrongly psychoanalyzing me.

And yes, quit making things up. Resorting to that just shows the weakness of your argument.

Mr. Yoakley took the high road by accepting the transfer while his principle made a fool of himself. Mr. Yoakley is a good teacher this bible thumping, better than thou, school district does not deserve.

Like I said, you are very wrong in just about everything about me and supremely offensive in most of your "judgements." Continue to feel that the things you do are fine, and I will continue to not only pray for a change of heart for you but that you do not hurt anyone with your vile comments that can't handle it.

I will tell you what, Goose, since you know so much, why don't you find out the identity of the teacher that took over for him and why don't you have a conversation with both, and then come back and tell me which one is superior in English, teaching, speaking, writing? Which one has success inspiring their students? I think if you put your prejudice aside, you will see it is absolutely no contest.

Good luck to you.

High road my ass. Read the story. He looked for another job with other school districts but no one would hire him. He was stuck at LC. Too bad for us.

We don't deserve him?
I think he should leave just to punish us then.

Ohhhhh, how witty...fagagandist = fag propagandist. Your mother must be so proud that you can do that. Have you thought of a career in songwriting, with an emphasis on rap?

You will change no minds with your backwoods mentality and insulting words, but I promise to pray extra hard to make sure that when my kids have to fire yours for insubordination or their attendance at the KKK rally, that the worker at the benefits office helps out with all they can. Your lack of education and manners eek through every post....good day, man.

Split Licker Mom. What are going to say when your kids have aids because you think it is okay to be gay.

Hmmmm....you are obviously not a scientist or doctor, so I will take that in to account.

You and your fun friends obsession with my sexuality confuses me. I assume that most of you have come from unions between cousins....see how assumptions work?

I didn't tell my children what or whom to love and neither of them is sexually active, unlike half of the kids they go to school with. So many 13, 14 year old girls getting pregnant...kind of a bigger problem than whether my child should get aids because of "gay sex". I am sure that you are unaware of straight people that have been infected with aids...they don't have medicine in the holler, right?

You are bothersome, but not in a life altering way. In a sociological experiment way. I feel like I am recording abnormal human behavior in humans in the 21st century. Every time one of you nimrods makes one of these comments, I just say a silent prayer that you will have a change of heart....

That's wonderful. If you type less you can pray even more. And the person who will.be changed the most by it is you.
Does this mean you're about to give up on nagging people into a mind-change?

Are you giving up on demeaning people? Do you honestly believe that the crizzap you spout changes minds? It does help your insulated like-minded cousins get fired up against all those fags....

My name "silent mom no more" indicates whether or not I will stop "typing". The answer is no. Silence allows bigots and homophobes to keep rallying the simple minded and I will try to rally those with more than a brain cell to the other side.

You are but a blip, darling.

Don't forget to pray before your rallies. It's the best thing you've said so far.

It's also the thing that will change you. Go for it.

I'm thrilled he's happy with his new gig. My son is in High School now and my daughter is graduated (abet with a homosexual propaganda yearbook, thanks for the memory Yoakley). Hope he enjoys "teaching" journalism to middle school kids raised in the heart of the text age...LOL, LMFAO,. This should be on par with having a classically trained musician teach rappers. He has one more rug to drop if the middle school gig doesn't work. If he decides to push an agenda again he will be singing B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was his Name-O with Eaton Elementary students.

What people seem to forget is Mr. Yoakley did not write the article. One of our children did. These are our future leaders and are not filled with a lot of the hate from our generation. Remember back when we were children, not all, but a lot of us had very prejudiced parents and grandparents towards blacks. And most of us as children had prejudiced thoughts but didnt understand them. This country was founded on a few basic principles that very few exist today, and freedom of speech is one of them. What will our children think if we teach them they have these freedoms and then censor them. If I remember correctly, LCHS is a public school, funded by tax dollars, so if anywhere these freedoms should be expressed is in school. I know this is a whole new can of worms here; but if they want religion out of schools then what was the problem with this. No, I'm not saying religion should not be in schools; but it should not be forced down others throats either. If you want your kids to have religion in school then there are private schools for that. Same with being gay, that is a religious belief, albeit one that most religions do not condone.
As silent mom said, get out of this small town for a while and see the real world. There are gays everywhere. Do they come up to you and say "im gay wanna go out?" No, the majority are very respectable and you would never it. Many are in a monogamous relationship and contrary to what most believe, do not want the real goose.
You don't have to accept it as being right; but you might as well accept it as being out there. In our life time, I believe we will be seeing gay marriages legal in TN in a few years. We should now if they are so content on separation of church and state.

You people love double standards. Freedom of speech does not mean the right to be heard.
Nobody is required to stop at the soapbox you are standing on and listen to your speech.
If you want your speech printed in the paper, they might charge you an advertising fee. Yell CENSORSHIP al you want. But pay the fee if you want it printed.

If that page in the yearbook had been titled "It's okay to be a fundamentalist Christian" the fagagandists would be screaming for a lawsuit.
