As you can see it is a Fox link so I believe some of you Americans will feel comfortable in opening it.

The CEO of Huawei is a retired General from China who does not believe in interviews.
His company mainly deals with the telecomunication pipeline that is trying to get into our country. Sprint has already tried to use this company for it's 4G network but thanks to our "Big Goverment" it stopped it for now.
Now with other issues that hit us Americans in the wallet I would like for more "Big Goverment" to stop Luxottica, it has almost total control over eyewear, from Ray Ban to Gucci from Pearle Vision to Vision Works and everthing in between. But believe it or not Walmart vision does not(as of yet) fall under the umbrella.

I watched 60 minutes with these stories last night too, Dunlapian. I agree with you that Huawei is a very real threat as does bipartisan officials in Washington, and for good reason. I always have concerns about cyber-attacks because I believe we can be harmed as much or more by attacks to our banking systems, power grids, etc. as a physical attack. It is very scary to think a China government controlled company could gain that much control over the telecommunication world in which we live.

I was also a little ticked about the Luxottica story. I have been a customer of Lenscrafters for many years. I got my last pair of "eyewear" there about two months ago for over $600.00. I have always been satisfied with their product and service even though that has been about the average price for several years, and I thought it pricy for "eyewear". This time when I picked up my "eyewear", I said it would be the last time because they have cut their customer service drastically. I know a couple of the women working there very well because of the relationship built over the years. I had to wait a very long time which was unusual. The woman I know there told me it is because they have cut the staff to only two people at all times, and it is first come, first serve, so if you need a five minute adjustment, you could wait two hours if there are people in front of you because of staffing cuts to save the company money. To find out last night that they have a monopoly on the market and are selling relatively cheap, foreign made frames at a designer price (by calling it designer "eyewear" and using designer names) with less care for their customers is even more irritating. And to know that short of going to Wal-Mart, I am still going to be doing business with the same company is very frustrating. I guess gone are the days when you could change a business by showing your dissatisfaction when they are the only business, and foreign at that!

While it's true that All Politicians play "Fast and Loose" with the truth, some more than Others, but they all do it...Mitt Romney has taken it to an Unprecedented Level, unlike anything I've ever seen before! That may be acceptable in Big Business, but it is NOT acceptable in a President of the United States of America!

Yeah I know Sassy, it does sound far out there and with science these days scientist are afraid to speak their mind (the one that God gave them)because of the religious wacko's out there, even within our own government. Jesus and Mohammad both would give a good tongue lashing to both Christians and Muslims.
I really believe Willard has no real stand anywhere.....except to get votes, and make money to stash away. I know one thing he really wants to start a war. Now he is talking about sending troops to Libya, and getting involved in the Sryian war, not to mention attacking Iran. Of course he will do this with not his own son's but the son's of other Americans who have grown up to think war is away of life.

Unreal, this is just one example for more Government Regulations to keep our Country safe and keeping a level playing field for our own American business. But with less Government Regulations we will have more Willard Romney's cashing in on the big buck's oversea's. But hey, if Americans can't find jobs over here they can always join Willard's(we will take anyone)Army.

I didn't see "60 Minutes" last night, but I wanted to see this Report, so I looked it up.
People, you all need to see this. I caught what the, I believe he was the CIA Guy who's job it said was to keep the "last three Presidents" advised about this Company. That was of special interest to me because I wanted to know...on who's "watch" did this happen? How did we get in this kind of a situation? Three Presidents ago would have been "through" George H.W. Bush's Administration, so I'm assuming this situation is a result of Reagan's Trickle Down Economic Policy Change that was begun during his years in Office.
Now my question is, what else have we set idly by, over the years, and allowed to happen that has put us in a venerable position, also, that has yet to come to light?
Changing our Economic Policy Theory is the worst thing to have ever been done in this Nation and all the things that followed, including joining this "World Economy" is included in that opinion, I don't care what President was in Office and went along with it...and Clinton, a Democrat, was one of them. It was all done because that's what Big Business wanted and it will wind up destroying this Country! I don't know if it could be reversed now, even if we had any Politicians with enough guts to try and do it! But, it doesn't matter because all of them are bought off and they would never even attempt to change the catastrophic mistake of changing it back to the way it used to be. IMO, we are doomed because we have almost lost everything, including our ability to be Self-Sufficient and we're like Sitting Ducks on the World Stage!

They have outsourced their technical support, they are screwing over their employees, and they are screwing over their customers because they are now the only game in town in many areas. Remember Ma Bell, well she is back. I Googled it to refresh my memory as to when it was regulated and broken up, and I thought this was an interesting article:

Without reading your Link yet, I want to say that I remember when the Gov't. broke up AT&T because it had gotten so big that the Gov't. couldn't even audit it. That's when we got BellSouth and I never had any trouble with them and they provided good Service and acted like they valued their Customers. But, AT&T is nothing but a Nightmare and they're worse now than they've ever been! Bad EVERYTHING and ripping us off like you wouldn't believe! But, I'll bet they've got the TN. Regulatory Authority paid off handsomely, what do you want to bet?

Bellsouth had a great service and cared about their customers. AT&T will not provide their advertised $24.95 U-verse internet service unless you sign a 2 year contract for their TV which is $150.00 a month. I believe it is extortion, and I am looking for any other wireless service to replace them.

You have to know whom to call..learned the trick to getting good customer service from AT&T years ago.
