TULSA, Okla.(AP)- A Catoosa business owner has been arrested after Tulsa police say he tried to hire an undercover officer to kill his wife.

Police say 55-year-old Stephen Bowen was arrested about 9:45 p.m. Monday on a complaint of soliciting first-degree murder. He was being held Tuesday in the Tulsa jail on a $100,000 bond.

Charges have not been filed, and it is unknown if Bowen has retained an attorney.

Police spokesman Jason Willingham says Bowen offered the undercover officer $10,000 to kill his wife and planned to stage a home invasion robbery.

Police say Bowen and the officer met Monday evening at a convenience store, where they discussed details of the crime. Bowen was arrested as he left the store.

It's hard to be humble when your perfect in everyway ! LOL ! It's not as tough as you think it is. I just don't like people slamming each other with Rude comments without reading what these topixs are about in the first place. as for this Topix I think this man was set up with entrapement from a undercover police Office, Tulsa police is good on that. it's bad enought their jails are full and the city is going broke so they have to entrape people on crimes like this that are not true.
No charges have been file on this guy Steve, but yet everyone assumes He's guilty without even going to court.

Why does his family have to have mental issues? I would be concern even if it was the other way around, no matter who it happen to. I do feel sorry for what his family is going through these are tough times too.

That's the problem I do know the Family weel enough. His mother lives on 2nd street, she use to work in the old yellow front building her name is Pat and his Dad is Bill Bowen, He use to work for John Deere he was retired from the military and Died about six or 7 years ago. Steve has one sister Name Cindy, I think she still lives in town, she has two children all grown and a deadbeat ExHusband goes by the name of Grady, He's white trash, retarded hillbilly all the way, Stays drunk and beat on his women folks. Steves Sister was adopted when he was 15 years old. Cindy was raised by her adopted Father Bill Bowen.
Thank god she's Nothing like her adopted Mother Pat,, Now she Is a NUT CASE from the start. Yes I know these people rather well enough to know what I'm talking about. I'm not related to any of them by far. I know Bill Bowen before he past away because I use to work with him, His wife Pat use to brag about her son Steve,Like He's such a wonderful Boy and smart too. and always put her adopted Daughter, Cindy down in front of everyone.
