We hired Lake Sunapee Plumbing & Heating Services in Newport to replace our whirlpool tub,
they came Wed. morning 6/24/09 and told us they could not install the tub we had purchased because the drain was in the wrong place.
I was told that they would call me back that afternoon with the model number of a tub to order that would fit.
That was 6 days ago, in the meantime we have to shower in our camper.
My husband has called them several times in the last 6 days and we the only reply we got was one that said none of the distributors have called him back.
Our normal plumber had surgery and could not do the job which was why we tried LSPHS.
I saw our plumber in the store the other day and told him what was going on.
He came here today and said it was an easy job and he could have installed the tub,
but we had taken it back already since they told us it would be too hard to do and they were going to find one for us.
Our plumber ordered a new tub today and it will be installed this Friday 7/3.
If you REALLY need something done be very wary of Lake Sunapee Plumbing & Heating Services.
Today we received a $60 bill from them for coming out here (15 miles at the most) and telling us they couldn't do the job!

This customer had a center drain tub which he pulled out himself and had bought himself a left hand tub for replacement. Probably when he tried to replaceit himself he decided to call a professional When the licensed plumber from Lake Sunapee Plumbing & Heating showed up he was informed that it would not make code to install his tub. In reseaching for a replacement tub the ones we found were to expensive for him. If he had someone put in a left hand tub it is not to code. Maybe the customer should have done some research before taking out his tub.

The customers tub split and was leaking through the floor so HAD to be removed.
There was one tub/shower in the house - "the customer" waited for way over a week to hear back from "the professional" (licensed plumber from Lake Sunapee Plumbing & Heating) and the family had to shower in "the customers" RV all that time. "The customer" even called this "professional" back a few times to find out and just got the run around. "The professional" NEVER called back with any quotes" so I (the customer) don't know how he came up with the excuse that all replacements were too expensive. "The customer" hired another "professional" licensed plumber who not only replaced the tub but found the correct tub at a fair price and drove to get it!!! This was all done in a few short days.
If anyone would like the name of this "professional" who actually knows what he is doing and charges a fair price feel free to contact me with a reply here.
