Why is Stanley Lawson of the NAACP a racist? Because he assumes that all blacks and latinos are poor, per the last line of the article!

Imagine, someone of his caliber in his position stereotyping people... The NAACP does nothing but perpetuate the myth. They, like union boards, need to shut their doors and stop living off the backs of those that work.

Why is it that it's okay to accuse whites of being racist, but it's not okay to accuse minorities of anything?

Whites, please stop giving into this insanity.

As a rich white person I think it's racist that we have to pay so much for gas and property taxes. Why can't everyone share these burdens with me?

criminal element can be just that.

it's not defined as color. it's defined as behavior.

What I do take issue with is the NAACP that take offense to statements like that. It seems to be all too often it is the NAACP that defines blacks and hispanics as criminals by making statements like this.

There lies the irony. While they state their goals of helping minorities, they accomplish exactly the opposite.

I don't know why teen age jacka$$es have to cat like that in the first place.
Teach your children to respect authority, no matter what color they are and there will be no issue.

We should not need security at a public pool.

No need to muddy the waters of B-S racism on this problem.

The simple solution is to get the council members together and make an ordinance that designates it for borough residents ONLY!

All of these comments do nothing to help the situation. The pool was simply so crowded people didn’t even have room to move in the water. If the capacity stayed as it was at 293 that would mean each lifeguard would have to scan over roughly 73 people………not safe. It is simply this people if less people enter the pool= less money=find solution. Less people +upping prices=solution. That is all it is, there is nothing to see, or infer, a field day was created out of nothing. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE CLEAN WATER TO DRINK, let’s remember that friends.

I agree with super hero, most of these previous comments are racist and are not going to help the situation further. I have been to the Lemoyne pool recently with my granddaughter and it was extremely over crowded, something needed to be done, it was simply a safety issue. The lifeguards do their job as best to their ability, and discipline anyone regardless of their race, gender, religious affiliation or sexual orientation. Id saw them yell at everyone, including bitchin white mothers. No matter where you are on life’s journey you are welcome at Lemoyne pool, you will just have to pay 2 dollars more.

Typical YDR's attempt to bring race into something.
In case you didn't read a previous post, someone referred to that area as the "white shore." Anyone from that area knows that there is racism involved. It has nothing to do with YDR. Reality is reality.

Look...here is the deal. Anywhere you have blacks you have less quality. Whether its in your neighborhood, schools or pools. Dont you notice something? there isnt one minority (majority) city or location in America that is safe.. or the world for that matter..
With Obama allowing the Black Panther party to make threats to whites, its now time to push back. Blacks must not be pandered to any more.

Let the NAACP spend some of its money and build a pool. That way they can set the price and see there is no profiling. NAACP talk a lot,but will not spend any of its money to fund community centers, parks, etc.

I can remember ever since I grew up on the east shore, the west shore was claimed as the "whitey shore". This may have been true in decades past, however the west shore has grown into a modern, diverse community. Infering this matter has done nothing but hurt the fellowship that was created and is a shame. How do you really know if what you hear from this aricle is true, have you witnessed this happening? God bless the world, not only America.

I don't know that it's true, but it sure is consistent with what I witness personally pretty much every day of my life. Many blacks act like savages and while there are other races that do as well, the rate and frequency is nowhere close to that of blacks.

I've seen it every single day of my middle-aged life all around the country... far too many blacks act like savages. Name some cities in the US with a concentration of blacks that aren't a mess. Look at the lists on best places to live... then look at the most dangerous places to live. You'll notice something missing in the best and something present in the most dangerous.

They are upping the price and reducing capacity. Makes perfect sense to me. The fact that the NAACP pulls out the famous racist card is their own problem.

NAACP segregated themselves when it was created and they complain that they are being segregated. Kinda of an oxymoron.

If there is any kind of segregation that needs to be done. Segregate the family that don't know how to discipline their kid. Cause lazy and responsible doesn't discriminate against race, religion, color, or creed. Your irresponsible self dropping your irresponsible kid off at the pool so you can go do whatever you want is unacceptable.

If the life guards are afraid, then they either need to grow a set and start kicking people out, or get a job at the library.

They have BET,black only schools, the NAACP and they call us racists.Let them get their own pool or open a spot at the river where they could pay $1.00 to swim all day.
