What part of this story led you to believe it was MB? It happened in Brunswick County. Leland, NC. Didn't even happen in SC. There is crime everywhere. 80% of MB is safe. You just have to KNOW where the other 20% is and DON'T GO THERE. I was born and raised in MB and own/operate my own company here. I feel safer in Myrtle Beach than I would in most other cities in the US. Granted, the Sun News is not the best at reporting and yes crime seems bad but it also seems to be in isolated areas that I recognize immediately as "places not to visit". There are bad people, low-life's and idiots everywhere you go. Can't just single out MB!

I would never go somewhere where people didn't want me back. People would want you back if you didn't trash the place and you know it's true. You bikers got work something out because you know other beach towns don't want you. Can't blame nobody but yourself? Work it out, MB is just greatest place in the world. WA WA WA WA WAA! Get a life and hopefully somewhere else. Hope the law catches the bad guys. GOODLUCK

What does a woman's body being found burned in a car in Brunswick County have to do with bike rallies?

crime is everywhere, not just Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, if you read the national news you will see we are living in desparate times and if the economy, jobs and education problems don't get straightened out, it's only going to get worst. Each day we are looking more and more like a third world country.

We don't look like a third world country, we ARE a third world country! Why else would illegal immigrants flock to the good ole U.S.A?

Just a few years ago, Alice Donovan was kidnapped out of the Walmart parking lot in Conway and she was murdered shortly thereafter. Her body, which was never recovered, was dumped somewhere in Brunswick County, NC. It you don't believe there is a strong connection between the drug fueled violent crime on the Grand Strand and Brunswick County, then you are living in fantasy land. A couple years ago a hispanic male was kipnapped out of Willow Run Apartments Greens Blvd Myrtle Beach and his body was found in a swamp in Brunswick County. That one was gang related. Hello?

More like 65% of MB is safe 95% of the time. More bad stuff every year happening there. Some areas no different than Detroit or Phila center city. Few places are 100% safe anywhere. Get a cwp & carry.
