What's the story with all of the horse and buggy/bicycle mennonites? They're not amish, however. Lots of them live up at Eveleigh/Holly/Madrid...what's their story? Why are so many coming here all of a sudden? Does anybody know them or anything about them? Unfortunately, I've almost ran into them on their bicycles and horse and buggies. You can go around a curve and "bam", there they are right in front of you...scary situation. I'd sure hate to kill one. I'm sure they're good people, but why come to Grayson/Breckinridge Counties? Must be cheap land. Don't know...

I don't know but if they are going to take over the county they better be posting some signs and people had better start being more alert to their presence when driving, if you hit them its automatically your fault!! I came through clarkson last week and was heading towards rock creek road down millerstown and popped over the hill and there was a horse and buggy. I have lived there a long time and have never seen a buggy up through there before. Their taking over so you better watch out when driving!!

yea its kinda ridiculous. People are goin to hate these as bad as any other minority. its kind of sad that we all look at them with the "awww" factor, like we are sorry for them. I am not. period. its their decision to be like that. they work for nothing, take carpenter/handyman jobs from our families and do nothing to help our community or the roads they use. let them be, maybe they will take the hint.

these are good people that do work hard and mind their own business-courtesy may be what we need to apply when coming up on them in the buggy-they always move over off the road when they are able to anytime I have seen them.I have no problem at all with them being in the county-the move all over to new places all the time-I would say the property is prob less expensive and the bigger cities are not keeping any land that is not on concrete anymore.

Roads were used by horses long before cars were invented. They have a legal right to be on them. They don't have to move over. They don't say hello to you because they can tell your a prick. Just like everyone else did from the few lines you wrote.

They are human beings & US citizens, just like you and I. They are free to live where they choose. As far as them taking jobs from our families, they have families too. If they live here, they have bought property here. Therefore, they pay property taxes just like everyone else. They buy from our stores as well. So they do contribute to our community. Probably contribute as much or more as some that were born & raised here. I wouldn't mind to have them as my neighbors. Would much rather have them as neighbors as to have a drug dealer, wouldn't you? As far as letting them be, I don't think they will mind that. They are peaceful people. In that respect there needs to be more like them. I don't feel sorry for them or have any reason to feel sorry for them. They are living the way that they want to live without hurting anyone. They enjoy the simple life and that is nothing to be ashamed of or hated for.

We support these people who stay within their OWN race and are WHITE!!! They do not interbreed with lesser minorities, they are self-sufficent and work hard. They keep to themselves and are very simple.
I'd rather have them around then a bunch of "Black wanna be" white kids driving around Leitchfield playing jungle music wearing their pants down their backsides while talking broken English. I'd rather see more Mennonites than these stinking mexicans with their greasy spiked hair and savage black people with their little monkey children in tow.
I agree with your later half. They are respectful which is something this world just doesn't embrace anymore. Sad but true. Their girls don't go around flaunting themselves, their marriages stay together, their children grow up working hard, they center around family, they make their own food, own soap, own herbs and for those last reasons, they will out live us all because they don't cram Mcdonalds in everyday.

So sorry for the disadvantage of having to follow a buggy from time to time. You have forgotten that they are a good size percentage of Americans that we KNOW aren't living off the government. In my opinion, they don't have to contribute. They've contributed enough by taking care of themselves and their own.

How can you say these things about them? My God people. Look around at the rest of our community. You have GOT to be kidding me. lol. I guess Sally down the street with 5 kids by Tom, Dick, Harry, Enrique and Jarome, living off of welfare, driving a car we all paid for and eating high on the hog with her "flag card" is easier for you because she doesn't inconvenience you. They are some of the best people I've ever met. Forgiving, honest, caring and loving people.

Get off your high horse. Maybe if some of you had some values that these people had, this world would be a better place.

I definitely agree on having mennonites around here in Grayson County rather than lower races such as blacks, latinos and mixed breeded people roaming around looking to commit crimes against decent white folk.
I am taking my family to the rally on November 13th at the square because like "whitepride" I love my race and see that it is diminishing at an alarming rate.
ohhhh, will little "sprout" be there too??????

why so much anger and hateful comments on here? I have read different posts on here ....and almost all of them are talking about each other, their neighbors ,who is on the road, who is stealing jobs, who did a pitiful job on a community event -my goodness!we all need to step back and listen -there is so much anger! Times are very hard for most of us -we need each other-everybody can hopefully find SOMETHING good to say-not wanting to start a big debate just can not figure why all the mean statements on every different subject I have read.

think it might be kind of funny if the ONLY people that go to the rally were black! except of course the people that will be there from other places with the rally organizer. I really do not think very many white people from here will bother to go-it just is not something that most want to be a part of-we are all the same nobody is any better than the any one else. I am wondering if there really is even going to be a rally or if this is just a story-nobody that I know is intrested in this at all-

But what if these Mennonites breed with the blacks and Mexicans? Jebidiah will be taking your jobs and funding the drug war while Jakob will be shooting up your family while eating some watermelon-flavored Mennonite Delight jam. WHEN WILL IT END?!?!!?!

Any of us could have been born into another race or gender. Every single human on this earth was created equal. If you can come to a higher reasoning, beyond that of what you were raised, you can come to realise we are all brothers and sisters in this universe. I love all of my brothers and sisters, even if they don't feel the same way about me, or don't share my beliefs. My greatest wish is that I can see all of you in Heaven some day.
