did you put in for the job? If not then STFU. Do you think you can do better? Then STFU. Do you want to put up with brats like yours all the time for I'm sure not a lot of money? Then STFU.

They listed his credentials on the news this morning and they sounded
quite impressive. When you make negative comments about a new person
and don't give them the chance to show you how he coaches and works with
the team, why would anyone else want to apply?
Try supporting him as coach and also cheer on the team. Give him a chance.

. There are always going to be the sideline experts like this that could do so much better. But them actually having the skills to do it themselves is a whole different ball game. Excuse the pun..

I asked a couple of questions, why all the hate! No answers yet to those questions. He may be a great fit for this team but in my opinion his record is not the greatest and I wondered who else may have applied for the job. I'm not looking for a fight, just some answers.

Grayson County is not exactly a basketball powerhouse and never has been. A guy with a 136-141 record should be a good fit if he will be good to the kids.

This guy is a temporary anyway. The one they're waiting for isn't quite ready just yet. Remember where you read this. When you hear the name of the next coach at GCHS you'll recognize the connection immediately. Wait for it...........

Nothing against the guy they hired I don't even know him, just what the news reported and his record. I'm just baffled at why the obvious choice in my mind and a lot of other people's minds wasn't hired. C. Gaither was the best player Grayson county has ever had. He had a successful college career and is one of the top young coaches in the state. Why not go after one of our own who is proven?

Chris seems to be more than happy where he is at. He has started his family there and he has built a great program. They pay better than we ever could. Honestly as much as I hate to say it, gc really has nothing to offer except being his hometown and at this point I'm not sure that's enough. I'm not saying he doesn't like gc, I'm just saying why take a step backward. But I would for sure love to see him back here.

Apparently the principal was in charge of the hiring. From what I have heard Chris was not even contacted the and there may have been interest in his part about coming

I've heard the same thing. Let's keep everything close even if nothing ever changes. The support for our high school sports has dropped to a new low. Wonder why? Could it be that the ones in charge are only interested in their own agenda? Keep in mind, I never mentioned any names. If the shoe fits, run in it.

How about let's put things in perspective here. Everyone is bitching about who was hired as the coach, without even giving him a chance. I'm sure they could've shelled out a lot more money and got somebody with a better record, then you who is bitching now would be complaining about the school system spending so much money. It's basketball people, how about let's shell out some more money and give it to the teachers, or trade school instructors to teach our children a trade that will help them get a damn job when they get out of school. I am quite sure if the county could afford to get a top notch coach, who is that going to benefit in the real world in the children's future? Want to, maybe two might play ball in college? You people have got your priorities really fucked up.

I agree. How many people has made it in basketball from Grayson county. It's a sport people. Let's put the school systems money where it would benifits our children more!! Only certain ones play basketball, football. All of our children goes for an education. Spend more money where you get the most bang for your buck!! I can not believe you people are making this big of deal over who they hire as a damn coach, no one has mentioned hey, why don't they shell out a little more money and get a professor or two in our school system to teach our children more!!
