im not doing this to bash anyone or hurt his business, but i have been wronged, and i dont want the same to happen to anyone else.
does anyone know pat riley or has he done any roof painting for you? june 30th he stopped by and ask if he could paint my roof,he said he sprayed it on so it wouldnt take long.he used the silver roof coating said it was commercial paint.i trusted him to do the job, payed him the 150.00 he charged. he gave me a paper with his name a 1-800 #and said i had a 6 year warranty, just keep the paper he gave me as proof.after the few rains we got in july, the rusty spots is showing thru again,i tryed to call him everyday last week but went to a voicemail,he never returned my call, this week i tryed again to contact him and all i get is the fast busy signal indicating the phone is no longer in service,he told me he is from campbellsville.he drives a light gray truck with his paint sprayer on the back.
has anyone else had any business with him or do you know anything about him?if he offers his services take the time to ask a lot of questions and please dont trust now gonna have to pay someone else to repaint my roof.
i ask th county attorney if he knew anything about his business and hes gonna investigate also .
sorry this post is so long and excuse any typos i may have made.thanks to everyone.

Wish I would have read this review before letting Pat Riley seal my driveway. He talked a good game about how he was going to do this fantastic job of spraying my driveway and how it would look. Con Job! Called him couple days later about the poor job he had done. Said to recall him when the weather was projected to be pleasant and he would come back. I have called many, many times and get his answering machine and no followups on my requests to call back. Even a few times I have had someone pick up at his end, can hear noises in the background, but no one replies to my hellos. Have been advised to consider taking him to small claims court. Sounds like a professional con man exploiting those looking for an honest job to be done.

This is one of those scams they try to warn people about. They seem to come around after
tornado's, floods, etc. I don't know if there is
anything you can do, as they seem to come in quick and leave even quicker. They are smooth talkers and offer such good deals. They are always on the look out to see who they can cheat the next time.
This undoubtly happens to a lot of people. I know it doesn't help, but please know you are
not alone. You might talk to the sheriff's dept
and give them the information. Maybe they can help.
Good luck.

I had a guy come by my place last summer, saying he was doing a job close by and would give me a great deal on paving my driveway. He quoted a price about 1/2 of the usual cost.

I told him I would gladly pay cash-1/2 when his crew showed up and the rest as soon as it was done. Then I took his picture and one of the tag on his truck. That was the last I saw of him. If a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I had him paint my building last August. Magically his paint truck caught on fire! Messed my garage up didn't even finish the job. Now I cant even get a hold of the guy. If someone wants to post his latest phone number and licenses plate number that would be great!

I have had a Pat Riley paint some buildings on my farm in the past. He was probably in his mid 20's. Everything he done has held up much, much better than any other paint job I have hired out or done myself, for that matter. Like you folks I would also like to reach him but in my case I would like for him to do some more painting at a farm I recently bought. Unfortunately ,and hopefully it isn't true, but I heard recently he took his own life because of bad reviews on the Internet.???

I had a pat Riley stop by and give me a quote this morning to seal. Oat my drive and paint my bar. He was in his late 20s, I'm guessing. Said they were doing a job close by and wanted to do my job. He gave a very inexpensive quote in my opinion.

But his business card says he's from N. Augusta, SC not KY. Wondering if this might be the same one y'all have been blogging about. His helpers are his father and his brother. His card has a pic with Lexington Paint & Supply on it. But no 1-800 # just a cell phone # and an email address. He was driving a late model Ford F-150.

Any suggestions?

This guy I believe came by my house the other day, I didn't talk to him my boyfriend did as soon as I heard what he was doing I told my old man not to be buying anything from anybody that comes to your door like that. I have seen to many stories about these type of people on Dateline NBC, they make a living off of people by cheating them out of money especially the elder, it's so sad but true, I hope no one in my neighborhood fell for this.

Has it ever occurred to any of you so called "victims" that there may very we'll be more than one guy by the name Pat Riley that does this type of work??? Jeez Louise I mean not everybody that goes out of state in order to feed their family is a "Con-Man". That doesn't mean you should throw money at the first guy that pulls in your drive and tell him to start up. But if someone gives your their information and you have seen them doing work in the area before. How bad can they be?? My point is this, If you need the type of work their offering to be done, and their price is reasonable, and they don't give you the impression of being a junkie or make you feel uncomfortable. Then use your best judgement. Not some review that more than likely some of the guys competitors have written online. If a guy is your area around the same season every year or two. He has to be doing something right. Or else who would hire him?? People are smarter than given credit for. They won't just fall for the same guy pulling a "Con job" over and over again. And as far as the whole "local yocal" thing goes. Think of it this way. The next time you or a family member are on a flight, Are you going to ask the pilot where he's from?? As if it would make a difference. But your life is in hands. Just a thought. My step dad works for a painter named Pat Riley. And that's the reason for my comments today. Because as he told me. Everything nowadays is done online. Except the only problem is. If every job were bad, they wouldn't stay in business for very long at all. Now would they?? And I know my step dad has worked for the same Pat Riley and his family for four years running now.

Ok I just had a Pete Riley come give me a price here in Georgia to redo my restaurant parking lot for $3,000 , is this the same guy? He was driving a new black Toyota Tundra , he had a Miami hurricane tag in front of his truck.

Pat Riley came to do some work for me. He was probably in his 40s. He did a fantastic job coating my barn. I don't see why there are so many bad reviews. And his son , John riley, is a young man in his early 20s and he also is a really good painter
