Not likely. The government already has enough control to squelch an uprising quickly. If one does happen TV will probably not cover it and cellphones will likely suffer an unexplained outage in the immediate area.

I think it is more likely that the lower and middle class people already overburdened by taxes, regulations etc. will simply give up, quit working and stay home. If you are eventually going broke anyway, why not sit at home in front of the TV instead of working for 2/3 of what your actual wage should be?

Yes it is. It is right up there with working for 35 years, having fully 1/3rd of your wages taken in the form of taxes, seeing that money spent mostly to support people and programs that benefit everyone except you, and having the government then move to take even more control of what little money you have left.

I think there will be a civil event of some kind, but probably not an uprising. More likely a massive overload of the current social welfare system that will lead to either its collapse or such a huge influx of newly printed money that the US dollar will be near worthless.

I don't think we'll see an uprising, I think people, in general, are too lazy to make a difference. Most would rather moan and groan about how bad it is, but won't lift a finger to try to make it better.

Don't get me wrong, our Country has gone to pot, and only gets worse, but it will take more than just you and me to make a change.

I've thought about this...seriously. I think if too many people are downright destitute as in no home no food, hell yeah there will be an uprising. As long as people are kept down but not too far I doubt anyone will make a stink. They know that too. As long as people can provide something for their kids they won't revolt.
That's my two cents.

Congrats, this is the first reply you have made that
showed you have more intelligence than you have led others
to believe.
You need to let this side of you come out more often.
I agree with you, the government will let us sink just far
enough to keep us from complaining. The sad part is that
we more than likely be content with it.
Have a great evening.

Thanks for the civil comments. I have had this discussion with several friends, some that thought I was crazy a few months ago are starting to understand my points as of late. Between the new taxes and the attack on the 2nd amendment people are more vocal on their core beliefs. In my opinion the gun control issue is a powder keg, and mandatory registration or confiscation would light the fuse. Add in all the government subsidises us working stiffs are paying for, immigration issues, gov overspending, and gov healthcare. There has to be a breaking point of what the common man can take before he bucks.. ...

So far, the only revolution I've seen that has been caused by the gun control issue is the increased sharing of Facebook photos.

Check out WalMart and lack of amunition and new signage as limiting the purchase to 2 boxes? If the cant get the guns they ( NWO) will limit amunition? Glad I stocked up.. waiting for the next law that will limit how much an individual can have?

I think you're exactly right! That's why I don't ever see anyone doing anything. There's just enough to give people a little bit of hope, and as long as there's a glimmer of hope, people tend to be more satisfied and not try to change the situation.

the reason the ammo is limited to 2 boxes per caliber, per peron is that the cop that owns that gun shop on 62 was coming in there every morning an buying up everything an resaling it at a higher price in his shop...he's the reason for that....you can buy all you want online at cheaper prices than walmart ever thought about.
