.....If a man refuses to marry his brother’s widow, she should pull off his sandal and “spit in his face.” His house shall be known as “the family of the unsandaled one”(Deuteronomy 26).

"LE 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee."
see also deut 22:11
Although this precept, like the other two with which it is associated, was in all probability designed to root out some superstition, it seems to have had a further meaning. The law, it is to be observed, did not prohibit the Israelites wearing many different kinds of cloths together, but only the two specified; and the observations and researches of modern science have proved that "wool, when combined with linen, increases its power of passing off the electricity from the body. In hot climates, it brings on malignant fevers and exhausts the strength; and when passing off from the body, it meets with the heated air, inflames and excoriates like a blister. I would also like to point out that Gods people are a sperate people, and are told not mix worldliness with Christianty, not to mix believer and unbeliever, that Gods people are a holy an seperate people...this is why there is a distinction made as well

NU 5:12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
NU 5:13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
NU 5:14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
NU 5:15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
NU 5:16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
NU 5:17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
NU 5:18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
NU 5:19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
NU 5:20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:
NU 5:21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
NU 5:22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
--Adultery discovered and proved was punished with death. But strongly suspected cases would occur, and this law made provision for the conviction of the guilty person. It was, however, not a trial conducted according to the forms of judicial process, but an ordeal through which a suspected adulteress was made to go--the ceremony being of that terrifying nature, that, on the known principles of human nature, guilt or innocence could not fail to appear. From the earliest times, the jealousy of Eastern people has established ordeals for the detection and punishment of suspected unchastity in wives. The practice was deep-rooted as well as universal. And it has been thought, that the Israelites being strongly biassed in favor of such usages, this law of jealousies "was incorporated among the other institutions of the Mosaic economy, in order to free it from the idolatrous rites which the heathens had blended with it." Viewed in this light, its sanction by divine authority in a corrected and improved form exhibits a proof at once of the wisdom and condescension of God.

Bible quotes aren't the answer to everything. Besides, I meant that God wouldn't bully. If God really sends gays to Hell, he'd be a jerk. But I don't believe that. God is loving and caring and everybody that is not an Atheist is going to heaven. Everybody sins, even you, and I. Quit fighting against it. Teach it your own family, but not the government. The founding fathers did not base the laws on Christianity whatsoever

<quoted text>
not really, the koran has many contradictions whn it comes to the nature of God, and also is considered to be heresy because they claim that ther God is the same as the God of the bible, which is not true based on the reading of the koran vs the bible
also, your logic of comparing spiderman to Jesus Christ is flawed as well, bcause there are also ancient texts that talk about zues, mercury and hercules, and many other far fetched legends, however no one in our day believes that these mythologcal charchters existed anymore than 1000 years from now will anyone believe that spidrman was real
right away you will ask me about the miracles of the bible, the miracles were always done by prophets or apostles, and used primarily to confirm the message they brought, granted we dont have any prophets and apostles that can do mracles in our day, but we do have a bible that has the power to convince people of their need for someone to save them from themselves. the bible does not cut anyone any slack and is truthful, it speaks to us quite accurately about human nature, and even the 'heroes' of the bible are painted exactly the way they are(david slew a giant, but he was also a murderer and adlterer, noah buil an ark, but he was a drunk, paul who wrote the greater part of the new testament used to have members of the church put to death, and though he was right for doing it, and i could go on.) only one person in the bible lived a sinless life, and tha is Jesus Christ. but there are no other 'holy books' that paint their heroes like that. the character of the old pagan gods was deplorable, and nothing worthy of emulation. but in our bible we have a God that is holy and demands justice and holiness from all of His subjects.
If you were really logical you would know that there is a good possibility that you are wrong.
from what are you deducing your position relative to there being a God? just because you dnt think so? what about the univese and all the matter, where did that come from? why are humans the only creature on this planet with rational souls? look at DNA, it is a code with an alphabet and symantics! so what is your reason to exist?make money, have babies, have a good time? now what?
You cant answer 'now what' without an eternal God in heaven.
Being a logical person actually dictates that there is a good chance I'm right. The burden of proof lies at the feet of the person or persons making a claim that requires proof. Proving the existence of a god requires a "something" to back up the assertion. A bible does not qualify as proof as many other religions also have holy books. You may disbelieve them but, to their patrons, those religions are "the truth". Who are you to say yours' is the correct one? I require no proof as I make no claim to back up. I do not claim the existence of supernatural entities.

DNA does not have an alphabet. Human beings assign values to things in nature so that we may understand them, and as any physics/biology/chemistry student can tell you, this explains our world well. We assigned letters from our language to quantify DNA. That language was created my human beings, not a god.

Human beings do not have rational souls. Human beings have the ability to learn, think,adapt, and communicate. These are all qualities resident in the brain (mind). A supernatural "soul" is not necessary to do these things.

I make no claims requiring proof. I need no holy book. My life is given meaning by myself and how I live it.

I wish more people would listen to their real heart and mind not someone else ideas and leave others alone..JUDGE ONLY YOURSELF!!! i KNOW this is not easy, I work on it daily, I ,too, was brought up in a very strick religious home and 40 years of searching, before I realized it was just a hoax to control people and get your money!God is good and all loving! sometimes we humans suck at loving!
